LTE Design And Development<br />
<strong>Aricent</strong> designed and developed the eNodeB software components, including Intra eNodeB<br />
transport as well as operations and maintenance software for leading Asian equipment vendor.<br />
We accelerated product development timelines while improving product quality by introducing<br />
advanced test simulators for various eNodeB components. By leveraging <strong>Aricent</strong>’s deep<br />
domain expertise in LTE, the customer was able to accelerate time-to-market by six months.<br />
Next-Generation Ethernet Edge Aggregation Node Development<br />
<strong>Aricent</strong> designed, developed, and integrated the software components to develop productionready<br />
Ethernet Edge Aggregation devices for a leading global supplier of network infrastructure.<br />
We also provided test frameworks to accelerate development and improve product quality.<br />
As a result of this engagement, the customer was able to reduce development cost by 85%,<br />
and achieved first mover advantage in the Ethernet Edge Aggregation market.<br />
Testing<br />
We worked with a customer who is a leading micro-telecom equipment manufacturer that<br />
helps operators expand their reach to rural-market profitably. They were looking for a partner<br />
who could validate and test the Base Station Controller (BSC) and Mobile Switching Center<br />
(MSC) product in a live operator-like environment and perform end-to-end interoperability<br />
testing with Tier 1 equipment in a standard operator environment.<br />
<strong>Aricent</strong> helped a leading micro-telecom equipment vendor to plan and execute end-to-end<br />
testing of their Base Station Controller (BSC) and Mobile Switching Center (MSC) product.<br />
The engagement also included interoperability testing of the A interface, including Base<br />

people, customers, processes, and technology, and successfully transitioned five million lines<br />
of code, 190+ Engineers in UK and India without causing disruption to the existing customer<br />
base. As a result of this engagement, the customer was able to sustain their contractual<br />
obligations on their legacy product lines and improve profitability, while freeing up resources<br />
to work on next generation products.<br />
Technical Assistance Center<br />
We worked with a leading US-based network equipment manufacturer to create a dedicated<br />
technical assistance center (TAC). Their need was to support Media Gateways, IP Switches,<br />
Routers, Wireless Access Points, and Security products installed across the world with 100+<br />
service providers and millions of enterprises. We ensured that 90% of the cases in the queue<br />
were picked up within 15 minutes, resulting in the highest rating (4.7 out of 5) in their annual<br />
customer satisfaction survey. The customer was also able to optimize their operational and<br />
maintenance expenses as a result of this engagement.<br />
