Applications are invited for making the panels for the appointment to the posts of one Research
Associate (RA) under Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) at the Central Institute of Post-
Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana, Punjab. The appointments will be purely temporary
under contractual and co-terminus basis, following the prescribed procedure for six months or till the
completion date of the project (upto 31 st March 2013). The appointments may be terminated at any time
without notice or assigning any reason thereof.

Technology/Agribusiness management/ Management.
OR
(i) M. Tech in Agriculture Structures & Process Engineering/Post Harvest Engg. /
Processing and Food Engg. / Food Science and Technology/ or MBA (Preferably
with Engg. graduation)/ M.Tech/ M.Sc in Agri-Business Management or M.Tech/
M.Sc. with Post-Graduate diploma in patents/IPR management with 60 % marks
or 1 st division equivalent OGPA
and
(ii) Two years experience in research/teaching/food industries.
b) Desirable
Exposure to computer application, data work, writing skill and statistical analysis
software packages, experience on patent search assessment, formulation, filling of

patents/IPRs, development of feasibility report and in commercialization of
technologies, handling search engines, CAD and development of software.
Remuneration RS. 24,000/- per month+ HRA for PhD holder & Rs. 23,000/- per
month consolidated +HRA for master’s degree holders
iv) Age limit 40 years (with relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/ and woman as
per existing rules) on the date of interview

i) The above positions are purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project
ii) The selected candidates shall have no right /claim for regular appointment at this Institute as
the posts are purely temporary.
iii) No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview
iv) The applicants must bring with them original documents and a brief of research work carried
out during post graduation / Ph.D. along with one set of photocopy at the time of interview.
v) No objection certificate from the employer in case he / she is employed elsewhere.
vi) Experience certificate in original (if any)
vii) Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post
