So you’ve decided you’re moving offices, you’ve chosen your<br />
new premises and the wheels are in motion for the big move<br />
day. Yet with so many things to remember it’s easy to lose track<br />
of what’s been done and what hasn’t. Here are a few things to<br />
be thinking about:<br />
3 MONTHS BEFORE<br />
Pick a target move date.<br />
Want to keep your telephone number? No problem, we’ll<br />

Make your other utilities providers aware of the move.<br />
Why not ask us to liaise with your PBX provider to assist with<br />

Tell the taxman and your local council office about the move.<br />

2 MONTHS BEFORE<br />
If your website is managed externally make sure the supplier<br />
is aware of the move so they have time to update your site.<br />

Confirm your move date. Do you want to move on a<br />
weekday or at the weekend?<br />

1 MONTH BEFORE<br />
Organise mail forwarding with your post office.<br />
Book a reliable removal company.<br />
1 WEEK BEFORE<br />
MOVE DAY<br />
Start packing boxes - moving can take longer than expected.<br />
Place an order for your new office stationary.<br />
Return any leased IT and phone equipment that you’re not<br />
taking with you.<br />
Remind your utilities providers that the move is nearing.<br />
Ensure you have copies of the new office keys made.<br />
Make sure your staff have backed up their computer files.<br />
Arrange access in your new office for us to install required<br />
lines and any new phone systems (if you decide to transfer<br />
your existing systems this can be done on the move day).<br />
Check your old office to make sure nothing gets left behind.<br />
