Something for Everyone - 21 and 22 March Golden Plains Arts Trail!

The weekend of March 21 and 22 will see the sixth Clyde
Park Golden Plains Arts Trail with something for everyone.
There are more artists working in more mediums, more
venues and more special events than ever before.
Enjoy the ‘complete experience’ locations like Venue
#10, the Royal Hotel in Meredith. The Hotel will play host
to six different visual artists and a chainsaw sculpture
demonstration from Viktor Cebergs in the Beer Garden from
11am on Saturday. Or you might like to chill out on Sunday
afternoon from 3pm with live music by Tim ‘Tonic’ Hulsman.
A great food and drink selection, family friendly atmosphere
and fabulous beer garden.
Arts Trail visitors may also like to wander off the beaten
track to the trails’ private studios. Experience the beautiful
scenery and enjoy a unique behind the scenes peek at the
way artists create in their own beautiful studios and gardens
across Golden Plains Shire. Venue #20, is Rosalind Lawson’s
wonderful hand built, mud brick studio in Napoleons and is
not to be missed, nor is Venue #3, David and Lyn Dickson’s
garden studio in Bannockburn.

offers free parking, free entry and kids’
activities and is located on the corner of
High and Milton Streets Bannockburn.
Grenville Cricket Association – 50th
Anniversary Dinner – An opportunity to
celebrate 50 fabulous years featuring guest
speakers and memorabilia displays.
Smythesdale Country Market –
9am – 1pm Located in the Historic
Police Precinct.

Shelford Duck Race – Fabulous family day

kid’s activities and the famous duck race.

Batesford Family Fun Day – 3.2 km family
walk followed by local stalls, refreshments,
CFA fire truck and children’s activities.
Inverleigh Dachshund Derby Day –
Lawsons Park Inverleigh. A fun family day
for people and small dogs under 300mm
from the shoulder.
Golden Plains Farmers’ Market,
Bannockburn – 9am - 1pm. Located on the

Cape Clear Slownet Yacht Race –
1pm – 5pm Watch home-made yachts
race around Cape Clear’s famous inland
lighthouse. Other activities, entertainment
and refreshments available.
Leighfest – Lawsons Park Inverleigh. A free
family event with activities for kids, music,
food and market stalls. Later in the evening
enjoy the outdoor family movie and live
bands rocking the big stage.
