Temperature (°C)
In general, a peak of tan Delta gives the glass transition temperature (Tg) of a system.
The transition stage of storage modulus in a range of –20 to 10 °C and a range of 90 to 120 °C
represents each morphological aspects of rubber and styrene phases.
In the example systems, higher Tg of the system and the slightly lower plateau modulus indicates that
the added Arkon* tackifying resin is more compatible with the rubber phase of the polymer than the
other tackifying resins.
