<strong>Lannie</strong> <strong>Rose</strong> works in the high-tech industry as a technical writer. Her<br />
self-published book, How To Change Your Sex: A Lighthearted Look at the<br />
Hardest Thing You’ll Ever Do, is popular in the transsexual community.<br />

writing has appeared in the e-zine Transgender Forum, and two of her<br />
pieces were incorporated into the Dennis Johnston Award-winning play<br />

holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from U. C. Berkeley, and an MBA<br />

• Was a functional alcoholic during adult male life; entered<br />
recovery when she changed her sex<br />
• Married at 30, divorced at 35, no children<br />
• Became a “typical heterosexual cross-dresser” after the divorce<br />
• After ten years of cross-dressing, author became aware of possibly<br />
being transsexual—the book begins in earnest at this point<br />
• As covered in the book, over the next five years the author<br />
decided she was transsexual, began living as a woman, underwent<br />
sex change surgery in Palo Also, CA, and started a new (and sober)<br />
life<br />
• At the end of the book, the author is planning a new career in<br />
