Navigating the information landscape

The University Library’s Research Skills Programme offers
free training and support to students, staff and readers working
at every level from undergraduate to researcher
Most sessions take place at the University Library, West Road (some
subject-specific sessions are held in the relevant department or
library).
Practical, hands-on information skills workshops include tips
and strategies for literature searching, managing information
and research data, referencing and academic writing
Information skills for medicine sessions offer specialist
guidance for clinical students (some sessions held at the
Medical Library, Addenbrooke’s Hospital)
Subject-specific overviews of scholarly resources introduce
specialist printed and electronic resources in a range of
disciplines
A range of sessions introduces the Library's unique and varied
special collections
Introductory sessions and tours are run throughout the year
to help you find your way around the University Library and
make the most of its collections
