CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL WOMEN
2013 Women of Achievement Award
As part of The Patricia Adams Lecture Series, Heidelberg University will honor outstanding women from local
companies and organizations each year. This new initiative aligns with the vision of alumnus John Q. Adams and
his wife, Patricia, who generously funded the lecture series as a way to connect exceptional women to
Heidelberg students and the greater community.
A female employee of your organization whom you would like to nominate for a 2013 Women of Achievement
Award will have:
An outstanding record of service with your organization;
Led a successful program or project with your organization;
Developed a new initiative or process relevant to your organization’s success;
Performed her duties in a manner that is an exemplar or mentor to other staff and displays a work ethic
that supports your organization’s mission; or
Any combination of the above.
We invite you to select an exceptional woman from your organization and accompany her to “Celebrate
Successful Women,” a private breakfast with Jerilyn Medrea, the keynote speaker for the Spring 2013 lecture
series event, on Friday, April 12. The breakfast will be held from 7:45a.m.-9:00a.m. in the Evans Resource
Center on the fourth floor of Adams Hall on the Heidelberg campus.
Ms. Medrea as Global Head of Talent Engagement for Liquidnet, a global institutional trading network, oversees
human resources, leadership and organizational development. A 1977 graduate of Heidelberg, she earned a
master’s degree from Michigan State University and completed the Harvard Business School’s Program for
Management Development.
During the breakfast, each woman will be recognized for her contributions within her organization. The
breakfast attendees will have the opportunity to interact with other honorees, talk with selected Heidelberg
undergraduate women and interact with Ms. Medrea.
This event provides a way for you to thank a valued employee, allow her to be recognized among peers, be
viewed as a role model by university students, and learn from a successful corporate executive. We hope you
will join us.
