We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, combine classes or<br />
change instructors. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment,<br />
a full refund will be granted. No refunds after the first class. A $5<br />
service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Participants assume<br />
the risk of changes in schedules or personal affairs when<br />
signing up for a class or program. Please allow 7-10 days for<br />
credit card refund, 3-4 weeks for check/cash refunds.<br />

Summa’s Western Reserve Hospital offers Physical and<br />
Occupational Therapy right inside the Natatorium. You will receive professional<br />
and personalized therapy for any of your nagging injuries or more serious<br />
problems from our licensed Physical or Occupational Therapists to get<br />
you on your feet again. Treatment options include accessing equipment in the<br />
beautiful Natatorium, but also may include the warm water therapy pool if appropriate.<br />

6 Natatorium programming<br />
Fit Kid Experience<br />
Designed to reduce the threat of childhood obesity, our youth fitness programs<br />
are motivating kids of all fitness levels to be active and have fun while forming<br />
a base for a lifetime of physical fitness. The Fit Kid Experience for ages<br />
8 - 13 utilizes kid-friendly, kid-sized fitness equipment while the “RUFit?” program<br />
for the middle school age group features premium fitness “exergaming”<br />
bikes and computerized games, where kids exercise while they play. This will<br />
be a great year for fitness and fun! All participants must have an annual youth<br />
membership and complete an orientation. Fee is $10 (excluding membership)<br />
pre-registration required. FREE tee shirt and water bottle included.<br />
Karate Kids<br />
Character building, self-confidence, coordination, fitness and fun at<br />
its best. Ages 7-9 years. Cost is $39 for residents, $59 for nonresidents<br />
for one eight week session. Saturdays from 11:30 am-12:30<br />

STRONGER, LEANER, FIT! - Fall Fitness Class<br />
Created exclusively for middle schoolers, ages 11-13, this 4-week “camp” meets<br />

4th at the Center for Functional Fitness<br />
and will feature physical activities focusing<br />
on strength and endurance along with learning<br />

CAMJAMZ Teen Dance<br />
The Natatorium and Audio Extremes Entertainment bring you a night of dancing<br />

with 4 dance pads, guitar hero and other games as well as state of art light and<br />
sound systems. The dances are on Fridays, 7-10pm in The Natatorium Community<br />

Kids Castle Babysitting<br />
Babysitting is available on a first come, first serve basis. FREE CARE is available<br />
with an annual membership. Non-annual members must pay a $4 per child<br />
fee. Maximum stay is two hours. Parents must remain in the facility. Hours and<br />

Fitness Circuit<br />
Get an entire body workout in 30 minutes! This unique workout combines the<br />
best in both cardio and strength stations. Schedule a FREE orientation and see<br />

T’ai Chi<br />
We are fortunate to have such a highly qualified Sifu in Gary Harris, with certification<br />
in T’ai Chi, Ch’uan and Qi Gong. We offer advanced/intermediate and<br />
beginner level classes. All classes meet on Wednesday nights. Fee $12 per<br />
month. A facility membership is required for participation.<br />
Karate<br />
Our martial arts system brings back traditional, educational and<br />
family values. “Workout with a purpose.” It is listed among the<br />
best for strength, flexibility, control and cardio fitness. It’s fun,<br />
easy to learn and non-intimidating for ALL women, men, boys<br />

Forever Young for Baby Boomers<br />
At the new Center for Functional Fitness, you’ll find Forever Young, a totally<br />
unique, real life fitness program designed to prepare baby boomers for lifelong<br />
strength and independence. Enjoy a more intimate, personalized fitness setting<br />
among your own peers with workouts that focus on strength, cardio, flexibility,<br />
endurance, balance, cognition and nutrition. “Fitness for Function”, for ages 50<br />

The Natatorium offers more days, times and types of classes than any other club<br />
in our area. From Strength training, to Step, to Zumba, Indoor Cycling, Kickboxing,<br />

for Annual Members, monthly and daily members. A $3 fee is paid for BOSU and<br />

24th Annual Halloween Creative Writing Contest<br />
All area high school and middle school students are invited to show their<br />
creative writing chops by submitting an original Halloween themed short<br />
story or poem. Entries may be submitted to any English teacher<br />
between September 19th and October 7th. All entries must be<br />
350 words or less, typed, and double-spaced. Please include a<br />
cover page with title, author’s name, school, grade, and English<br />
teacher’s name. Winners will be announced on October 28th.<br />

Painting Contest<br />
Showcase your artistic abilities in this exciting Halloween<br />
tradition! All High School and Middle School students are<br />
invited to submit an 8 ½” x 11” Halloween themed drawing<br />

chosen to paint their drawings on area windows will<br />
be notified by September 30th and painting will take place<br />
from October 1st through the 16th. Winners will receive a<br />

NFL Pepsi Punt Pass & Kick Competition<br />
Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to showcase<br />
their football skills at the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick<br />
competition on Friday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Price<br />
Elementary School, 2610 Delmore Street. The competition<br />
is free and open to boys and girls ages 6-15. The<br />
top finishers from each age group will advance to a sectional<br />
competition. Registration will take place the day of the<br />
event at the site. Please bring a copy of your birth certificate<br />
and a parent to sign the permission form. No football shoes<br />
(spikes) allowed. Gym shoes only.<br />

The <strong>Cuyahoga</strong> <strong>Falls</strong> Community Band<br />
The band consists of 45 musicians of all ages and walks of life, directed by<br />
Kristan Crane. We perform a variety of standard band literature at a medium to<br />
high level of difficulty. Auditions are not required. Rehearsals are Mondays at<br />
the Quirk Cultural Center, from the Monday after Labor Day to Monday before<br />
Memorial Day from 7-8:30pm. Concerts presented in the parks through June and<br />
July. Dust off that instrument and come play with us.<br />
The <strong>Cuyahoga</strong> <strong>Falls</strong> Community Chorus<br />
The <strong>Cuyahoga</strong> <strong>Falls</strong> Community Chorus, under the direction of Edward A. Shure,<br />
provides an opportunity for singers of all ages to join together in a fun, family oriented<br />
atmosphere. Additionally, the Chorus serves the community by performing<br />
for retirement and nursing homes, hospitals, churches and civic organizations as<br />
well as public performances at the Quirk Cultural Center, the Holiday Tree Festival<br />
at the JS Knight Center and the <strong>Cuyahoga</strong> <strong>Falls</strong> Library, among other locations.<br />
In May of 2011 the Chorus, in partnership with the City of <strong>Cuyahoga</strong> <strong>Falls</strong>,<br />
premiered “<strong>Cuyahoga</strong><br />
<strong>Falls</strong> Cares,” a campaign<br />
to address special<br />
needs in the community.<br />
