God of the sea, not unlike Neptune but with a nastier temperament. He’s the main reason Hans Hans is afraid
of water. Despite the fact that most Vikings want to challenge their ships in the hostile oceans, he strikes fear
in the hearts of all sailors. This guy hates ships and will bite them in half with his mighty jaws whenever possible.
He is one of the Vanir - the fiercest of Giants. His redeeming quality is that he brews a special ale for the gods.
Thor would destroy him were it not for this nectar he offers, in cups that magically refill.
Mister nice guy, goody two-clogs and knight in shining armor. The maidens swoon when he’s around and men
look to him with admiration and envy. He’s the son of Odin that turned out right – except for one little detail.
Balder has an unusual knack for flirting with disaster. If there is a deadly situation happening, Balder will surely be
close by. For that reason, people stay at least 20 yards from him. He thinks it’s his smell and spends an inordinate
amount of time bathing. Hans Hans admires him as well but also fears getting beaned by falling rocks when he
visits him.
YMIR IS THE ICE GIANT AND HE WON’T LET YOU FORGET IT!
We never see his face – just his hands and feet, for he is so large no god or mortal can see all of him at one
time. This doesn’t stop Thor from pounding him or the rest of the Vanir. Ymir has the personality of your typical
frozen lummox, with the occasional sick sense of humor – he likes making a hailstorm in the middle of summer.
He wants nothing more than to beat Thor and have Mjolnir to himself so that the ice giants can rule with thunder
and lightning as well.
