Mariners are requested to inform the hydrographic Department, Naval Headquarters, 11 Liaquat<br />

Barracks, Karachi, <strong>Pakistan</strong> immediately on the discovery of new dangers, or suspected dangers to<br />

navigation and of changes or defects in aids to navigation noticed in Navarea IX and of shortcomings in<br />

PAK charts or publications.<br />

015. PERSIAN GULF. South Pars field. Charts BA 2523, 2837 and 2886. Offshore construction<br />

operations are in progress in South Pars field by “HLV STANISLAV YUDIN” and support vessels<br />

alongwith drilling unit “RANI WORO” installations are marked by buoys:<br />

(a) No.7 26-45.0N 052-12.5E<br />

(b) No.8 26-41.0N 052-17.0E<br />

(c) No.9 26-38.0N 052-21.0E<br />

Normal safety zone of 500 Metres extended to working zone of 01 N. Mile from the positions. Mariners<br />

cautioned.<br />

016. RED SEA. Gulf of Suez. Egypt. Chart BA 2374. Maintenance operation for submarine pipeline in<br />

progress by M/V “EL DAWLEYA 2” on following route till 31 Jan 2004.<br />

005. ARABIAN SEA. <strong>Pakistan</strong>. Karachi. Charts Pak 5, 30 and BA 40. M/T “TASMAN SPIRIT” salvage<br />

operation in progress round the clock. Machinery craft have their anchors as much as 500 Meters away<br />

marked by unlit Yellow Cylindrical buoys. Area up to 500 Meters North, South and East of<br />

MT “TASMAN SPIRIT” (CENTRE POSITION 24-47.37N 066-59.32E) declared exclusive zone and<br />

all un authorised crafts are not to enter the area. Vessels and crafts advised to proceed at slow speed and<br />

give wide berth.<br />
