Branksome & Newtown Safer Neighbourhood ... - Dorset Police

Thanks were given to the SNT for supporting the ‘MUGA’, which is being well
used. However young people now climbing on roof of the building to use as a
grandstand to watch sport in the MUGA.
Steve Tite to liaise with property services colleagues re: use of anti-climb
paint – need to prevent an accident ASAP.
ii) Residents have undertaken litter picks at Branksome Rec to help improve the
area – looking much better.
iii) Query re: Bourne Valley Youth club – enquiry directed to the Rossmore SNT
meeting and Thabang Thacker for the activities undertaken there.
iv) Possible problem again with litter and fly tipping at Turners Field and St Johns
church – ECPS to investigate.
v) PCSO has visited St Clements Road found parking problems when church
services happening. Rat running and speeding revolve around the cut
through to the industrial estate (to be actioned as one of the 3 priorities)
vi) Query from a resident re: use of citizen’s arrest. Police advise caution, used
as a last resort only, as can be extremely difficult to hold/restrain a
perpetrator before police can attend and deal with the matter.
