The Hyatt Legal Plan offers you and your family
convenience and value, plus the comfort of knowing you
can access legal services for almost all personal legal
matters. And there are no limits on the number of times
you can use the plan…and no dollar limit on your use
of a plan attorney for a wide range of legal matters (see
Covered Services).
The Hyatt Legal Plan is offered through Hyatt Legal Plans,
a MetLife company.
How the Hyatt Legal Plan works
When you enroll in the Hyatt Legal Plan, it’s like having
your own lawyer on retainer! No deductible or copay, no
waiting periods, no claim forms and no limits on usage
– as long as you use a plan attorney (an attorney who is
part of the Hyatt Legal Plan).
As a member of the Hyatt Legal Plan you’ll have access
to its network of more than 10,000 attorneys. Each one
meets the plan’s stringent selection criteria and, on
average, has 22 years of experience. Whenever you need
legal assistance contact the Hyatt Legal Plan:
• Online – go to www.legalplans.com any time, day or
night, or
• By phone – call (800) 821-6400 between 7 a.m. and 6
p.m. Central time, Monday–Friday.
You’ll receive the name, address and phone number of
plan attorneys in your area, as well as a case number.
Contact any one of these attorneys to schedule an
appointment. And remember…as long as you see an
attorney who is a member of the Hyatt Legal Plan network,
there’s no deductible or copay, no waiting period, no claim
forms and no limits on usage for covered services.
Important! You have the option of using an attorney
who is not in the plan’s network; in this case, you will
receive reimbursement of your attorney’s fees – up to
certain amounts for covered services according to a
set fee schedule. If you choose to use a non-network
attorney, you must contact Hyatt Legal Plans and request
a claim form and a copy of the current fee reimbursement
schedule. You will be responsible for any difference
between what the non-network attorney charges and the
amount you are reimbursed by the plan.
Covered services
Attorney fees for the following personal legal services
are fully paid by the Hyatt Legal Plan when you use a
plan attorney (an attorney who is a member of the Hyatt
Legal Plan network). There are no limits on the number
of times you may use the plan, and there are no dollar
limits on your use of plan attorney for the following

Legal services that are not covered
The plan does not provide any benefits (including
consultations) related to the following:
• Employment-related matters, including company or
statutory benefits
• Matters involving the employer, MetLife® and affiliates,
and plan attorneys
• Matters in which there is a conflict of interest between
the employee and spouse/domestic partner or
dependents, in which case services are excluded for the
spouse/domestic partner and dependents
• Appeals and class actions
• Farm and business matters, including rental issues when
the participant is the landlord
• Patent, trademark and copyright matters
• Costs and fines
• Frivolous or unethical matters
• Matters for which an attorney-client relationship
exists prior to the participant becoming eligible for
plan benefits.
Cost of coverage
You pay for group legal plan coverage with after-tax
deductions from your paycheck. This cost provides
coverage for yourself, your spouse or domestic partner
and your eligible dependents.
Ready to enroll?
If you:
• Are a newly-hired Advocate or Advocate BroMenn
associate at any location (or move into a benefits eligible
position) and you enroll in the Hyatt Legal Plan during
your initial enrollment period – your coverage under the
Hyatt Legal Plan will begin on the first day of the month
following your enrollment period.
• Enroll during any subsequent Annual Enrollment period
– your coverage under the Hyatt Legal Plan will begin on
the subsequent January 1.
Once enrolled, your coverage under the Hyatt Legal
Plan will remain in effect until you elect to drop this
coverage during a subsequent Annual Enrollment or, if
sooner, your Advocate employment and/or your benefits
eligibility ends.

Do I have to use a plan attorney?

you receive will be based on a set fee schedule.
