Geordie designs and delivers trans<strong>for</strong>mational learning experiences. His<br />
focus is on helping AE <strong>pr<strong>of</strong>essionals</strong> increase their personal mastery <strong>for</strong><br />
application in life, leadership, and overall high-per<strong>for</strong>mance. Geordie Aitken<br />
is a faculty member <strong>of</strong> <strong>ACEC</strong>’s prestigious Senior Executives Institute,<br />
teaching SEI’s Leadership & Personal Mastery session since 2003. Geordie<br />
works with AE firms throughout North America, assisting them to more<br />
effectively develop leaders, navigate leadership succession, and build<br />
effective development programs. Geordie is well-versed in the challenges<br />
<strong>of</strong> leadership development and succession, having worked with his father<br />
David Aitken <strong>for</strong> over a decade in their family-based consultancy. Geordie<br />
specializes in assisting AE firms tie leadership development to business<br />
strategy. In 2012 he co-authored The Leadership Succession Lifecycle in<br />
Best Practice Firms (available from the <strong>ACEC</strong> Bookstore). He speaks widely<br />
at <strong>ACEC</strong>, AIA, and other pr<strong>of</strong>essional conferences. As a coach, Geordie<br />
works with <strong>pr<strong>of</strong>essionals</strong> seeking to unlock better results, and a better<br />
experience <strong>of</strong> life and work. Geordie has an honors degree in English from<br />
the University <strong>of</strong> British Columbia, and is a certified practitioner <strong>of</strong> Neuro-<br />
Linguistic Programming. He holds a black belt in Shotokan karate and lives<br />
in Vancouver, BC with his wife, Magda.
