YOU’RE ON THE AIR: HOW TO
REALLY MAKE IT IN VOICE-OVERS
Age 18+
Instructor: Tom Force
Voice-overs are hot
today! You don’t have to
be an actor to get voiceover
work, but it certainly
doesn’t hurt. With such
notable talent as Morgan
Freeman, Glenn Close,
and Alec Baldwin lending
their voices to commercials,
films, and videos, one would think that it
would be next to impossible to break into this
field. Not so! You’ll learn about an exciting,
new way to get around the competition and
actually turn voice-overs into a thriving full or
part-time business. Our instructor will discuss
the business, opportunities, income potential,
and producing a demo. You’ll step up to the
mic and do some practice recording and best
of all, you’ll hear the results!
TOTAL IMMERSION SWIMMING -
Adults
Would you love to feel great while swimming
not just occasionally but every lap? Would you
love to know exactly how to improve-not
guesswork but guaranteed? Would you love to
make continuous improvement-for as long as
you continue to swim? However you’re swimming
today, Total Immersion will transform you
into the swimmer you’ve always wished you
could be.
Traditional instruction focuses on pulling, kicking
and repetitive laps. TI teaches humans to
swim like fish by teaching comfort, balance
and “slippery” positions. We start with simple
movements and progress by small, easilymastered
steps. You’ll feel the difference from
your first lesson and get more satisfaction and
enjoyment from every stroke that follows.
Who Can Learn TI? Adult Beginners, Veteran
Swimmers, Mature Swimmers and Triathletes
TI Classes
Would you like to swim a mile or more, enjoy
every stroke, and feel energized when you finish?
Would you like to do your best in a triathlon
or swim in open water? Our Effortless Endurance
course will help prepare you for a triathlon,
improve your fitness, teach you swimming form
you’ll be proud of and develop an invaluable skill
for lifetime health. In four weekly 90 minute
classes we’ll teach you the following:
Session 1 Balance and Stability: Become
‘weightless’ by learning to cooperate with –
not fight- gravity. An effortlessly horizontal
body moves through the water more easily and
calms churning legs. It also brings the body
control and mental calm necessary to learn
every skill that follows.
Session 2 Sleek and Slippery: Learn to
move through water, rather than move it
around, by: (i) Shaping your body to be longer,
sleeker, more hydrodynamic; and (ii) Moving
your arms and legs in ways that reduce wavemaking
and turbulence and increases forward
motion.
Session 3: Swim with your body: Learn to
replace arm-and-leg churning with surprising,
yet effortless, power by connecting the actions
of your arms and legs to rhythmic, relaxing
weight shifts. Instead of generating muscular
force you’ll direct ‘available’ forces of body
mass and gravity.
Session 4: Channel Energy Forward:
Integrate and harmonize the skills learned in
the first three sessions by tuning your stroke
length and tempo to swim the best pace with
the least effort
**This class series is recommended for those
who can swim 50 yards or more of freestyle or
have studied TI skills previously via DVD. It will
include video analysis during the first and
fourth meetings.
KINGFISH AQUATIC SWIM CLUB
Kingfish Aquatics is a year round USA Swim
Club. We are also a member of the United Swim
League. The purpose of a swim team is to
teach and refine techniques for all four of the
competitive strokes along with setting personal
and team goals. Our coaches will also encourage
sportsmanship, the love of competition and
teamwork. Our Head coach is Brad Brockway.
to our team. New Group descriptions are
compete in meets when they are able to complete
one length of the pool (25 yards). The
group swims once a week (Thursdays or
