of the current crisis, there is a shortage<br />
of help for borrowers and a need for<br />
attorneys to get involved with efforts to<br />
assist those threatened with a foreclosure.<br />
According to the January 2009<br />
edition of the California <strong>Bar</strong> Journal,<br />
Foreclosure<strong>In</strong>foCA.org provides information<br />
on online MCLE-eligible foreclosure<br />
mitigation training and links to volunteer<br />
opportunities for attorneys who want to<br />
get involved. The February 2009 edition<br />
of the California <strong>Bar</strong> Journal further<br />
points to the need for attorneys to provide<br />
pro bono legal aid services during this<br />
economic crisis, as California legal aid<br />
organizations are now facing funding cuts<br />
and may have to lay off staff.<br />
