Scott Hahn to be in Oklahoma City. Dr. Hahn is a
Professor of Theology and Scripture at Franciscan
University of Steubenville. He is a popular speaker and
has written numerous books and articles related to the
Catholic faith. An ordained Presbyterian minister, he
entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in 1986.
His scheduled talks will be: The Lamb’s Supper, First
Comes Love, and Lord Have Mercy. Mr. Hahn will be
speaking on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Bishop
McGuiness High School Auditorium. The conference is
free, but registration is required. Box lunches will be
available for $6, but a reservation is needed as well. Call

your seat/lunch.

FAITH FORMATION:
There will be a parent meeting of all parents
with youth in the Sunday Faith Formation sessions this
coming Sunday, January 13 th at 9:20 A.M. in the parish
hall. You are welcome to come earlier and observe the
children's music activity at 9:00 A.M. The meeting's
purpose is to explain the safe environment curriculum
used at each grade level. These lessons will be
presented starting the week of January 27 th . Please
make every effort to attend.
Confirmation classes resume this
Wednesday, January 9 th at 7:00 P.M. Students are to
be commended on arriving five to ten minutes early.
Watch the bulletin for the beginning of First
Communion classes.

Women of St. Mary Meeting
Wednesday, January 9, 2008
7:00 p.m. in the Catholic Center
This meeting is open to all women of St. Mary. Bring
a friend or new parishioner and join us.
Many thanks to Joan Riotte and her December
committee for hosting the December meeting and all
the beautiful decorations for our Christmas season.
Also, thanks to the Hispanic committee for their
beautiful decorations and the wonderful water fall
display.
THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD
PAPAL PRAYER INTENTION FOR JANUARY
General Intention: That the Church may, strengthen her
commitment to full visible unity in order to manifest ever
more clearly her nature as a community of love in which is
reflected the communion of the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit.
Mission Intention: That the Church in Africa, preparing to
celebrate the second Special Assembly of the Synod of
Bishops for Africa, may continue to be a sign and channel
of reconciliation and justice in a continent still suffering
from war, exploitation, and poverty.
EPIPHANY: Today we remember the three wise men from
the East who came to pay homage to the infant Jesus,
bringing Him rich gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The
gifts we bring – our time, service, and some share of what we
earn for the work we do – are equally precious in His sight.
LA EPIFANIA: Hoy recordamos a los tres reyes magos del
Oriente quienes fueron a render homenaje al niño Jesús,
trayéndole preciados regales de oro, incienso y mirra. Los
regales que nosotros traemos – nuestro tiempo, servicio y
alguna parte de lo que ganamos por el trabajo que hacemos –
son igualmente preciosos ante Sus ojos.

Help in Financing your college education! If you need help
paying for undergraduate or graduate school, The Catholic
Foundation may be able to assist with a $1,000 or $3,000
scholarship that may be renewed for up to four years. These
scholarships are awarded to qualified Catholic students. They
also have other scholarships for OU Medical students, nursing
students, Pastoral Musician students, or a St. Gregory student.

lights. Also, if you need to use any of the church facilities
be sure to notify the office and log it on the church
