British Metric ‘O’ Rings
NBR70 Rubber ‘O’ Rings
The most common and simplest types of seal with excellent sealing
properties and durability. Used in engines and gearboxes, also found
in anything from shower heads to an aircraft, garden hoses and
pumps etc., They can be used as face to face gasket style seals or as
shaft seals and allow both rotary and linear movement.
They have a 70 Shore hardness and an operating temperature range
of -30°C to +120°C. Highly resistant to many chemicals, petroleum,
diesel, LPG etc. All sizes to BS4518.

‘O’ Ring
Splicing Kits
Saves the need for complete disassembly. Eliminates the need for
an inventory of different sized ‘O’ rings. Joints resist water/oil and
are as strong as the rubber itself.
Kit contains: seven standard diameter sizes of nitrile cord in
1200mm lengths, splicing jig, safety knife and Loctite ® 406 instant
adhesive (one or two bottles).
A full range of other sizes are also available. Please ask for details.

Cordbox ‘O’ Ring Splicing Kits
Each kit is supplied in a fitted and highly durable blow
moulded case. Includes a cutting and gluing jig, retractable snap-off
safety knife, 3m/10ft tape measure, one bottle of instant adhesive
and all popular and metric and inch sizes from 1.78 - 8mm in two
metre lengths.
If further instant adhesive is required, we recommend the use of Loctite
406 Rapid cure adhesive for
rubber - see page 1242
of this catalogue.
Nitrile Rubber (NBR):
For most applications.
Operating range
