ABOUT ME
“With designs that combine
simple forms and few materials,
I always try to love eveything I
create”.
After the graduation at the Architecture
School in San Sebastian, Gipuzkoa, I
started my adventure fixing my own
style and finding out what kind of
architecture I would wish to build.
Along this way I discovered all the
design disciplines and although
architecture was my job, everything I
was finding out helped to improve my
creativity.
While working in different architecture
studios, I started designing clothes,
product, learning about photography,
graphic design and so on. I realized how
important travelling and meeting
different cultures are to get a richer
result on your job. Knowing different
people in different places and
situations opened my mind and
anthropology called my
attention.
My wish to do something
different in architecture
and the interest in the
user relationships, made
me knock the H2i Institute
door, a human centered
innovation school in
Madrid.
H2i Institute is located in
Madrid, in the co-working
space of the “Impact Hub
Madrid” where a lot of
different disciplines are mixed
up and people can work with
each other.
I got a full granted master course to
learn everything about innovation,
creativity, research, design, and
business. 17 students worked on 4
innovation projects for 4 companies
during 5 months and Presentation took
place in February.
”H2i was a perfect complement
for the archiecture studies”.
It was a perfect complement for the
architecture studies, I had the opportunity
and the chance to work with
different professional profiles in a very
unusual project for me, which makes the
experience very enriching.

H2i EXPERIENCE
CREATIVITY
In the first two weeks, we had creativity
classes combined with taichi, because
creativity emerges when mind and body
are balanced. We learned how to face
challenges solving them and doing
facilitations for groups by CPS method
(creative solving problem).
“Innovation is not about doing
new products and services, but
about changing the conditions”
VISUAL THINKING
The visual thinking consist on the
visualization of the data to make it easily
understandable for all the people.
During one week, we learned techniques
and all kind of means to start
drawing. I restart drawing again and
illustration became one of my favorite
subjects after H2i.

detect what is the pain in your
project”
RESEARCH AND CO-CREATION
In the module of research, we learned
how to create the best questions. We
interviewed a lot of people and we
learned how to collect all the information.
In co-creation, we learned how to
solve problems and challenges by
people’s co-working: learning by doing.
“There is no space with no
people to use it, we need to find
experiences”
CRITICAL THINKING
In a master class with a critical thinking
expert we learned how to analyze and
evaluate our thoughts.

USER INTERFACE DESIGN
The most important thing in the user
interface design is the user experience
more than the aesthetics. When the
design is simple, it is because the
company made a great research to
know everything about the user.

ruin a great service design”
STRATEGIC DESIGN
First we need visualize the future and
then we will be able to think on the
artifacts we need to design to make it
real.
“Innovation has to be messy and
you have to find the strategic
piece to set it in order”.
PROTOTYPING
Prototyping is a way of testing. We can
do it in all the phases of the design
process of a project. We learned a lot of
techniques of prototyping during two
weeks.

BUSINESS DESIGN
Even if you have the best design of the
world, you need to make it moneymaking.
During the two weeks of business
design, we learned about “lean startup”,
how to make a business model canvas,
the testing of an idea, market analysis,
different business models, and so on.

SERVICE DESIGN
In service design we create stories to
see where value can be added. Redesigning
a service can be really cheap with
things that we already have. During two
weeks, we learned how to make
blueprints, customer journeys and so
on.

How do you work out a presentation of
a product? We have to think about the
audience and create a story to transmit
exactly what we want.

Project made to cover the entrance of a
shopping centre in the city of Corralejo.

ARCHITECTURE
This was a project to cover the
entrance of the shopping center of
the main street in Corralejo, Fuerteventura.
The aim of the project was to create
a real high cover to make it visual for
the users and protect them from the
heavy sun. We projected a rectangular
shaped block and we made an
intersection with an organic shape,
then we sectioned in 20 parts that
work as beams made of light steel and
we covered it with glass. In this way,
we got a nice entrance and also a
confortable and shaded place to stay.
Es un proyecto para la entrada de un
centro comercial en la calle principal de
Corralejo, Fuerteventura.
La idea del proyecto era hacer una
pérgola de gran altura para que la
entrada fuese muy visible.
Mediante la intersección de un bloque
rectangular con una forma más orgánica,
conseguimos la forma que deseábamos.
Seccionamos este cuerpo en 20
partes que funcionan como vigas y
cubrimos todo con cristal. Con ello,
conseguimos un espacio alto, ligero y
que a la vez que sirve de entrada sea
una zona sombría y agradable para
estar.

with 2 main materials, wood for the
entrance and facades details, and
white concrete for the rest.

PRIVATE GARDENS
Each house has its own garden area with a
small pool and a barbecue.
Houses are in contact with the exterior by
big glass openings.

PRIVATE FACILITIES
The residential area has its own facilities for the
people in the neighborhood: a gym, a restaurant,
playing areas, and big green outside
spaces.

INTERIORS
Bathrooms are decorated
with very modern materials
and the latest decoration
trends.

ARCHITECTURE
Living room house 1
The studio of Daniel Padron &
associates was asked to build a
project of 100 apartments and public
facilities in the area of “El Castillo”,
Fuerteventura.
The area is interesting because of its
location, next to the beach and a golf
field, and also because of the proximity
to the city center.
There are 3 main typologies which
are modulated to suffer the minimum
variation, in this way they can be
adapted to the plots request. The
project aims the most flexible housing
area possible.
Este proyecto de 100 viviendas y
equipamientos públicos para el area de
“El Castillo” en Fuerteventura, es uno de
los proyectos más recientes del estudio
de Daniel Padrón y asociados arquitectos.
El area es interesante por su cercanía
al centro del pueblo, a la playa y a un
campo de golf.
Hay tres tipologías de viviendas que
mediante la modulación de las
estancias y la flexibilidad de estas,
pueden adaptarse a la orientación del
lugar. De esta manera, el proyecto
busca la máxima flexibilidad posible.

This is a project for the Arenas school in
Gran Canaria: 4 new classrooms and the
entrance.

the blocks generates in front of
the green fields.

ARCHITECTURE
The aim of this project was to solve the
problem of the variety of heights of the
different parts of the school. We were
asked to do 4 classrooms with an
entrance area.
The project consists of the classrooms:
4 rectangular wooden blocks each with
a different colour and depth. The
waiting area is created by the space
that the different depth of the blocks
generates in front of the green fields.
The connections of the two parts of
the building are sorted out by a ramp
and stairs at each part and a long
wooden bench.
El objetivo de este proyecto era
resolver el problema de las diferentes
alturas del edificio mediante 4 aulas y
una zona de espera.
La propuesta consiste en: las aulas, 4
bloques de madera rectangulares cada
una con una profundidad y un color
diferente, y la zona de espera: el
espacio generado por las diferentes
profundidades de los bloques.
La conexión de las dos partes del
edificio se resuelve a través de una
rampa y unas escaleras a cada lado y
un largo banco de madera.

As we can see all the houses are
different and they are placed
between a canal and the green
areas of the neighborhood.

This is the real

number k47, which
is almost finished.

ARCHITECTURE
Nowadays Nat architecten is building
about 8 individual houses in Zeeburgereiland,
Amsterdam. Exclusive houses
in a great environment that allows all
the architects that are building there, to
show their own architectural style.
I worked in the first design of some of
the houses, the construction details of
others and the HD renders of all of
them.
It was a great experience to learn
about all the phases of a construction
of a building.
Hoy en día Nat architecten está
construyendo cerca de 8 viviendas
individuales en Zeeburgereiland,
Amsterdam. Casas exclusivas en un
entorno formidable en el que cada
arquitecto puede mostrar su propio
estilo arquitectónico.
Yo trabajé en el primer diseño y la
construcción de algunas de las casas e
hice los renders publicitarios de todas
ellas.
Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora
para conocer y experimentar
todas las fases de la construcción de un
edificio.

diferentes colaboraciones para varios
proyectos. En estos trabajos, he intentado
reflejar mi propio estilo y una
arquitectura muy flexible.
Este proyecto se sitúa en la zona de
Green Valley en Panamá. Un área
realmente cercano al centro y con
espacios verdes.

CULTURAL CENTER
Villabona, Gipuzkoa
This project is located in Villabona, in
the Basque part of the “way of Saint
James”. The building has been created
to give out the Basque culture and at
the same time to be used as a multipurpose
auditorium.
The building consist on a big wall, with
several Basque culture information and
paintings, which attracts pilgrims to
enter the building while walking along
the way.
Este proyecto se sitúa en Villabona,
en el tramo vasco del camino de Santiago.
Uno de los objetivos de este proyecto
es dar a conocer y difundir la cultura
vasca.
El edificio dispone de un mural con
dibujos y pinturas vascas que sobresale
del edificio buscando la atención del
peregrino y le incite a su visita mientras
hace el camino.

LIBRARY AND MEDIA CENTER
Santoña, Cantabria
This building is located along the
beach of Sarria in Santoña, Cantabria.
The project aims people to feel as if
they were reading in the forest among
the trees, so every enclosure has been
built with wooden slats disposed in the
facade and also in the inside partitions.
The project targets the integration of
the environment imitating the dunes
silhouette with the slats disposition.
Este proyecto se sitúa en la playa de
Sarria de Santona, y se trata de una
biblioteca-mediateca.
Se han construido todos los cerramientos
con listones de madera tanto en el
interior como en el exterior, buscando
con ello la sensación de lectura que se
tiene en un bosque entre árboles y
además su construcción imita la silueta
de las dunas del lugar buscando la
máxima integración con el entorno.

HIGH DENSITY LIVING BLOCK
Villabona, Basque Country
This is a project of a high density
housing proposed for the area of Sacem
in Villabona, Gipuzkoa.
The problem of the high density is
solved by an open inner courtyard in
the middle of the building. Also nature
was introduced in the building by
common areas used as gardens and
individual orchards in every apartment.
This way, the project aims to generate
more relation among the neighbors.
Este es el proyecto de viviendas de
alta densidad propuesta para la
regeneración de la zona Sacem de
Villabona, en Guipúzcoa.
Se ha utilizado el sistema de patio
interior abierto, introduciendo también
naturaleza dentro del edificio en forma
de zonas comunes y huertas individuales.
Con esto se ha conseguido
incrementar las relaciones sociales del
bloque y solucionar el problema de la
densidad.

Fashion design
The design “Irailak 21” its a minimalistic
black colour design, with both front and
back sides finished in “V” shape. The
back side has a beige colour wavy and
voluminous cloth, the only different
material in the design which gives
personality to the dress.
As you can see I use the same philosophy
to design cloths as for architecture
and every work I do.
El diseño “Irailak 21”, es un diseño
minimalista de color negro, con cuello y
espalda en forma de “V”. El único
material diferente del vestido es un
acabado voluminoso creado a partir de
una tela beige con ondas que le da
personalidad al diseño.
Como verán utilizo la misma filosofia
tanto en arquitectura como en el diseño
de cualquier otro trabajo que realice.

The “4x4” design is based on recycled
clothes. It is a beige colour bag with
dark blue details and old jeans pocket
and it is very confortable for a daily use.
El diseño “4 x 4” es un diseño inspirado
en la ropa reciclada. Es un bolso de
color beige con detalles en color azul
marino y un bolsillo de vaqueros
antiguos y es adecuado para uso diario.

I worked in a pullover and t-shirt
collection called “Fuerteventura”. It is a
collection of printed clothes with very
simple designs for the daily use.
Trabajé también en una colección de
camisetas y sudaderas estampadas
llamada “Fuerteventura”. Es una
colección de prendas para el día a día
basada en un diseño simple y minimalista.

With the variability of colors, shapes
and little details I created 3 different
designs in 3 different cloths. There are 2
different t-shirts in grey and white
colour and a dark grey pullover.
A través de una variabilidad de formas
y detalles, creé tres prendas diferentes:
dos tipos de camisetas en colores gris y
blanco y una sudadera en gris oscuro.
