YMIR is an Fantasy / Adventure sset in an fictional setting based of Icelandic mythology and
folklore.
YMIR Synopsis
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur accidentally find themselves trapped in another dimension with
no way out, wandering through the dimension they stumble upon the heart of the fallen god Ymir.
The heart has the power to tear up time and space, and it can create a gateway back to their
dimension, but unbeknownst to them an ancient evil is imprisoned within the heart, waiting to get
out.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur try to use the heart's power to get out of the dimension, but by
doing so they set the two nightmare spirits Hel and Nidhog free from their imprisonment.
Hel and Nidhog having gained their physical form once more travel back to outgard where Alfjeder,
Bjornei and Slagbrandur came from.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur manage to follow them through the gateway before it closes, only
to realize that Hel and Nidhog have started to spread their dark magic all across Outgard.
All hope seems lost until Alfjeder realizes that the heart of Ymir had followed them back to
Outgard.
The only being in the universe powerful enough to banish Hel and Nidhog back to the void is the
god of creation Ymir himself, but without his heart Ymir remains in stasis deep inside Midgard.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrand take it upon themselves to travel to Midgard to reunite Ymir with
his heart but the pathway between outgard and midgard has remained severed for centuries.
The only way to open the gate is to find and unite the four realm crystals, each located in one of the
four realms that make up outgard.
Only when the four crystals are united and the path into midgard is cleared will Ymir be awoken
once more... But if Hel and Nidhog would learn that Alfjeder has the heart they would do whatever
within their power to stop them.
PART 1.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur travel to Yggdrasil where the first realm crystal is located, but
when they get there they learn that it has gone missing.
A merman named Grimmon informs them that the merman King Airon has stolen the crystal and
that the spirit of an ancient god named the Dragon is resting inside the crystal.
Airon aims to slay the dragon and harness the power of the crystal... rendering it useless, thus
making it impossible to ever reach Ymir.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur head out to Brottvirki, an ancient magical Vanir city, where Airon
is supposedly hiding. An election is being held in Brottvirki where one of five candidates will be
elected the new emperor of Brottvirki.
Unbeknownst to the masses one of the candidates is actually Airon in disguise. The new emperor is
given the key to the city's dimensional portal which is used to move Brottvirki from one location to
the next.
Airon's intent is to use the portal to teleport inside the crystal and slay the dragon while he still
sleeps. The majority of the brottvirki's population is going to vote for Airon and the only chance to
stop him before the election is over is to unveil his identity in front of the population.
Airon's true form is an massive hideous slimy merman but a magical mask that he wears alters his
appearance to resemble a Vanir.
Alfjeder, Bjornei and Slagbrandur decide to wait for the next candidate debate to remove his mask
and expose his true identity to all the other candidates and the majority of Brottvirki's population.
But Airon starts to catch wind of their scheme and frames them for a crime they did not commit,
sending them to prison. In prison they meet Grimmon that had been framed as well by Airon after
he learned of his betrayal. Together they manage to break out and end up unmasking Airon for the
masses to see, in a fit of panic Airon steals the key to dimensional generator and teleports himself
inside the crystal. Alfjeder, Bjornei, Slagbrandur and Grimmon follow him inside the crystal and
manage to stop him before he slays the dragon.
