Oz-Post ® offers two installation options:
The sledgehammer is effective for small projects, and
a jackhammer is more efficient for larger projects. A
standard electric jackhammer is recommended and can
be found at most tool rental centers.
Oz-Post ® anchors are so strong that they can be installed with a
sledgehammer or jackhammer. For smaller projects (1-10 posts) the
sledgehammer installation method is great. For larger projects it is
recommended to use a jackhammer to take full advantage of the Oz-Post ®
exclusive installation features.
To drive your post in with a sledgehammer; insert the corresponding
Hammer-Spacer (if necessary) along with a small piece of wood or steel into
the end of the Oz-Post ® and drive the Oz-Post ® in the ground, checking
the level from time to time. If you would like to use a jackhammer simply
insert the Oz-Hammer into the jackhammer and insert the Hammer-
Spacer (if necessary) into the Oz-Post ® . Once assembled, cycle the
jackhammer on and off, check the level every inch or so until the post is
driven in to the desired depth. With either option, you can be assured that
Oz-Post ® will provide a strong foundation for your construction project.

How This Catalog Works:
Throughout this catalog there are several charts that
help in deciding what post anchor and/or parts are
needed for the specified projects on each tab. Each
item has been broken into categories depending
on the most common use. Please note the right
hand sample table listing some, but not all, of those
categories.
All posts are designed to fit INSIDE the Oz-Post®
top sleeve. Some Oz-Post® anchors are offered in
different lengths. Short models are designed for hard
ground, asphalt, concrete installations or light duty
projects. The longer lengths are for normal to soft soil
conditions.

Oz-Puller

Oz-Puller (Part No. 50800)
The Oz-Puller is simply the best post puller available and is the perfect companion
for anyone who needs to remove posts. The Oz-Puller is so effective and easy to
use that you will wonder how you lived without one!
To remove a post that has been set in concrete simply place the post clamp around
the base of the post, engage the jack and pull the post out, concrete and all! To
move the extracted post, just tilt the Oz-Puller back onto its heavy duty wheels and
pull to the desired location. The post and concrete are safely cradled between the
support frames even on rough terrain.
Plug Clamp (Part No. 50820)
The optional Plug Clamp accessory is recommended for removing an Oz-Post® or
concrete plug (as seen below) where the post has broken off at ground level. The
plug clamp opens wide to attach on the outside of the concrete plug.
Oz-Puller

Our exclusive jackhammer is designed especially for driving Oz-Post®, tent stakes, breaking
concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, stones, brickwork, frozen ground, heavy clay, asphalt
pavements, and other similar construction projects. The EL-1100 is a heavy duty tool and
is UL listed.

Post Level (Part No. 50740)
The Oz-Post® level is a two way level that can be strapped on
to the Oz-Post® with a rubber band to keep it in place. This is
helpful for making sure that you are driving the post in straight
and plumb.
Cap Driving Tool (CDT-07 Part No. 50890)
The Cap Driving Tool is used to secure the
compression collar to the Oz-Post® on all
round post models. (ISW-850, IS-600, GB-
700 and HB-700) This tool is a hinged steel
tube that makes installing the compression
collar fast and easy.
Bar Clamp (Part No. 50750)
This is a great tool to straighten an Oz-Post® that may have
twisted during installation. The bar clamp can quickly attach
to the top of any square Oz-Post® and be used to align the top
sleeve with the lot line.

Oz-Hammer - Driver for Jackhammer: An Oz-Hammer is REQUIRED for customers who want to drive the
Oz-Post® in the ground with a jackhammer. Oz-Post® exclusive Oz-Hammer drivers are made of high grade steel
and are designed to fit most common jackhammers that are available for rent or purchase. Specifications: 1⅛" hex
chisel holder with a retaining collar.
Hammer-Spacers are square or round adapters that keep the Oz-Hammer centered in the top sleeve of the Oz-
Post®. Hammer-Spacers are long lasting tools that will rarely need to be replaced. Please refer to the Oz-Post®
product specifications to determine if the post you plan on driving requires a spacer. If a Hammer-Spacer is not
listed, a spacer is not required to drive the post.

Oz-Deck (Part No. 50880)
The Oz-Deck OD-T4 is an accessory for the T4-850 and T6-
700 Oz-Post® to provide load bearing capacity required for deck
construction. Oz-Deck provides the same strength and stability
of conventional construction techniques with less labor and lower
cost. Installation is easy; simply locate the Oz-Deck plates where
your posts are required and drive the Oz-Post® through them. The
jackhammer installation method makes installation fast and also
compacts the soil beneath the Oz-Deck to prevent the Oz-Deck
from settling over time. The revolutionary design of Oz-Deck
allows them to be utilized in soft terrain and also in regions
that are subjected to freeze/ thaw conditions. Oz-Deck meets
ICC (International Code Council) IRC-2006 (International
Residential Code For One- And Two-Family Dwellings 2006)
2006 IRC, R403.1.4.1 exception 3 and has
been independently tested with loads

Oz-Post® fence brackets attach wood fence rails
to metal fence posts, eliminating rotted and
failed wood posts. These brackets are designed
for use with standard 2⅜" OD steel tubing and
include all necessary hardware for attachment to
the steel post and to the wood rail. One of the
advantages of the Oz-Post® brackets is that you
can clip them on the steel post in the general
location where you want them. You can fine
tune the location by sliding them up and down
the post before you permanently attach them
with the self drilling screw. The IS-FBS is for
standard installations where the steel post will
remain exposed. Oz-Post® also offers the IS-FBL
that has extra long tabs to provide an easy way to
wrap the steel post with wood for an attractive
all wood look to your fence. With the IS-FBL
you can get the rich look of 6x6 posts with more
cost effective and longer lasting materials. The
steel post is hidden with 2 – 1x4’s and 1 – 1x6.
The IS-FBL is perfect for the discriminating
consumer who would like to take advantage
of steel posts but also prefers the look of an all
wood fence.
IS-FBL

Oz-Post® offers two models for the vinyl fencing
industry. The P5-850 is designed for posts that are 5"
square and the P4-850 for posts that are 4" square. In
both cases it is recommended to drive the Oz-Post®
completely into the ground or leave a small portion
out of the ground to protect the vinyl from lawn
equipment. Once the Oz-Post® has been set, you
simply apply a good quality adhesive like polyurethane,
epoxy, or silicone to the inside of the Oz-Post® and
slide the vinyl post in.

Oz-Post® offers a special range of products designed for the chain link fencing market and
other applications that utilize round tubing for posts. This line of products utilizes the
Oz-Post® patented compression collar attachment for an attractive secure connection with
the post. To secure the post to the Oz-Post® the compression collar is driven down with the
CDT-07 or a standard hammer to secure the collar in place and finish the installation.

There are three Oz-Post® models that accommodate the most common post sizes in
the ornamental market: 2", 2 ½" and 3" square. We recommend driving the Oz-Post®
completely in the ground leaving only ¾" exposed above the surface so the attachment
hardware can be installed. Oz-Post® is an excellent choice for ornamental fence
installations and has been independently tested to perform well with both iron products
and aluminum products.
