Adam Kout (MSKart / DEA) used excellently prepared
new equipment. He set a time of 1'16''579 '' which
was pole. Only the German Peter Elkmann (MSkart /
VM) lapped at a similar pace. It was a bad start to the weekend
for the French, especially with their ignitions.

RACE 1 ON
SATURDAY
Elkmann, Morley (Anderson / DEA), Lehtinen (Anderson / DEA) and
Kout, carefully, moved ahead from the start. Hentschel (Anderson /
DEA) joined an Anglo-Saxon group that included Paul Platt (Anderson
/ Gas-Gas), the four-time British Champion, who suffered from the
lack of power of his single cylinder. There was already problems
from traffic. Morley put pressure on Elkmann. Kout was accelerating.
Hentschel had to return to the pit lane, leaving David Harvey the
leader of the chasing pack. Double winner last year, Jost couldn't
solve his problems. Morley took over temporarily in the lead, but
Lehtinen and Kout followed one by one and got away. Elkmann
seemed troubled at the end (tyres) but he still managed to save his
4th position. Behind were Platt, Reinke, Kleinemeyer and Bennett.
French satisfaction was rare and unexpected, and Romane Didier,
back after seven years of absence, finished in the points.

SUNDAY
Peter Elkmann (MSkart / VM) seized the lead every time
from Adam Kout (MSkart / DEA). Daniel Hentschel (Anderson
/ DEA) joined the leading group with Harvey and Lehtinen
while Jost recovered. The crossover between Hentschel and
Kout allowed Elkmann to get away. Jost gradually increased
the pace. Lehtinen and Harvey benefited from the revival of
Team Redspeed. The fastest tricolor was Cyril Vayssié but
a spin ruined his good comeback in race 2 and he couldn't
start race 3.
As part of the French Championship, it was very disappointing
for the French drivers. Peter Elkmann leads the championship
after Dijon with a very large advantage. Among those are
planning to participate in the entire series, Jost has limited
the damage. The best position of the other known contenders
is a rookie, the Colombian Jaime Zuleta.
