SWIM COURSE
SPRINT 500M / OLYMPIC 1500M
• Athletes will start in the water and follow the instructions
of the race starter.
• The swim course is a 500m single lap for the Sprint distance
and a 1500m single lap for the Olympic distance.
you if required.
• If you get into difficulty, lie on your back and raise your arm.
A lifeguard will come to you and if necessary arrange a safety
boat to take you out of the water.
• At the end of the swim, athletes will leave the water using
the swim exit ramp attached to the pontoon.
• At the swim exit, athletes turn right in order to access
Transition.
• Athletes must follow the blue carpet to Transition and merge
with the runners already en route to Transition.
• After your swim, you may only roll down your wetsuit as far
as your hips until you have reached your bicycle. You may only
take it off completely once you have reached your bike rack.
Please store your wetsuit neatly next to your bike rack
in the transition bag provided.
TRANSITION 1
• Change at your rack.
• Put your wetsuit next to your bike, in the transition bag
provided. Do not put the wetsuit on the bike rack!
inside your wetsuit. The organisers assume no liability for lost
objects not placed inside the transition bag.
