Free Anti-Money Laundering Training Now Available Online
Mandatory Course is Located on www.nailba.org and www.AgentResources.com
Fairfax, Va. – The National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies
(NAILBA) has announced that its free Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training
program is now available online through its two websites – www.nailba.org and
www.AgentResources.com.
The AML training program was developed by LIMRA International in response to
new U.S. Treasury Department rules and the USA Patriot Act. Under the rules,
insurance producers who sell products that accumulate cash value or have an
investment component must be trained to understand and detect possible money
laundering activities.
LIMRA and NAILBA recently joined forces to get this new training program out
quickly. "Our partnership will allow eligible producers to take the training once –
at no cost – and be certified to work with many carriers," said Matthew J.
McAvoy, CLU, ChFC, NAILBA chairman and principal of Target Insurance
Services, Overland Park, Kan. “What LIMRA and NAILBA have done is a great
service for the industry, and especially for independent agents.”
As agents log on to the NAILBA/LIMRA training program, they will be presented
with a status page of all pending requirements for each company they represent.
No other program in the industry manages this maze of multi-company
requirements in this manner.
NAILBA member agencies are posting the free AML training program on their
own websites and promoting it to their agents as a no-cost, value-added service
of their agency. But anyone who is in need of training can take the free course
