3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
When the metal is treated at high temperatures, zinc or oxide zinc fumes may be produced. Inhalation
of zinc fumes may cause zinc fume fever resulting in flu-like symptoms. Ingestion of zinc dust may cause
gastrointestinal disorders. Zinc fumes may cause local eye irritation (more than 900 °C) .
