Service Areas who are enrolling in a college or university in the FIELD OF EDUCATION or<br />
EDUCATION-RELATED DEGREE PROGRAM: Two <strong>Scholarship</strong> awards are: 1st Place --- $1,500.00<br />
and 2nd Place ---- $1,000.00. ELIGIBILITY: <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> seniors graduating from an Illinois public high<br />
school; Upper 33% of class; Enrolling in a college or university in an education or education-related<br />

The Abby Foundation is offering scholarships to women who need assistance to attend college next fall.<br />
The foundation is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students attending a four-year college or university,<br />
and $500 scholarship to those planning to attend a two-year community college. The minimum GPA<br />

Program<br />
<strong>High</strong> school seniors may apply for one of seven $2,000 scholarships to be awarded by TOI this year.<br />
Applicants must submit the completed application (available on www.toi.org and in Township<br />
Perspective magazine), cover letter, an interview with a current township official, transcript of grades,<br />
two letters of recommendation and an essay on The Role of Township Government in Today's Society<br />
and in the Future.<br />

The Chicago Roofing Contractors Association will award ar least one $3,000 renewable scholarship to a<br />
high school senior who will enter college in September each year in the following programs – liberal arts<br />
and sciences, engineering, architecture or business. The scholarship recipient will be selected on the basis<br />
of academic performance, faculty recommendation, extracurricular activities, employment experience,<br />

Northern Illinois <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Journalism <strong>Scholarship</strong>s recognize outstanding achievement by high school<br />
students in the field of print and/or online journalism. Winners will receive cash scholarships from the<br />
Northern Illinois Newspaper Association. The scholarship awards will be presented to high school seniors<br />
who demonstrate the standards of honesty, integrity, attention to detail, hard work, creativity, and an<br />
understanding and commitment to quality community journalism. Students may be editors, writers,<br />
photographers, managers, marketing or advertising representatives or graphic designers at high school<br />
newspapers or professional news publications. All applicants should show intent to attend college as a<br />

College of DuPage is awarding 50 full-tuition scholarships to <strong>2012</strong> District 502 high school graduates<br />
who meet the selection criteria. To be considered for the award, students must meet the following criteria:<br />
A weighted or unweighted high school GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale (4.75/5.0) on a seventh semester high<br />
school transcripts or a 27 ACT composite test score; have applied for admission to College of DuPage;<br />

The Marianjoy <strong>Scholarship</strong> Program will award scholarships in amounts up to $5,000. Recipients must enroll in<br />
