Pacesetter Awards will be given in the following categories. Select the one category in which you
want your nominee to be considered.

The Arts & Entertainment Award recognizes those who have given their talents to the
community and have, in the process, strengthened access to, interest in and/or support for the
arts.
The Business Award recognizes those who have used their business successes to better our
community through contributions of time, talent, leadership and/or financial support.
The Education Award recognizes those who have made a long-lasting impact on our
community’s ability to learn and achieve.
The Science/Medicine/Health Award recognizes those who have used their expertise in the
fields of science, medicine or health to benefit our community – for example, introducing a
technology/practice that has immediate local impact or improving access to health care.
The Environment Award recognizes those who have dedicated considerable amounts of time,
talent, leadership and/or financial support to making Boulder County green.
The Community Service Award recognizes exemplary volunteerism, whether through a
nonprofit organization or personal mission.
The Quality of Life Award recognizes those who have consistently devoted their time, talent,
leadership and/or financial support to making Boulder County a better place to live – for example,
improving public spaces or maximizing community resources.
The Youth Award recognizes Boulder County residents 18 years old and younger who have
made important contributions to the community in any area.
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes those who have dedicated their life’s work to the
betterment of our community.
Selection
Winners will be selected based on their contributions, including donations of time, talent, money
or life’s work that have had an impact on the community. The 2010 Pacesetters will select the 2011

Pacesetters.
The Camera must receive nominations no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 31. The 2011 Pacesetter
Award winners will be honored at a community luncheon 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at the
Millennium Harvest House.
Don’t delay. Recognize those who make a difference in our community. Submit your nominations
