As most of our concerts are to raise money <strong>for</strong> selected<br />

charities, John Painter is always pleased to hear from<br />

potential concert organisers. You provide the venue<br />

and we will provide the music.<br />

Our programme is usually booked twelve to eighteen<br />

months ahead. The choir can give advice on all aspects<br />

of concert arrangements: repertoire and soloists,<br />

tickets, programmes, timing and presentation, venue<br />

and equipment. John is also the man to contact if you<br />

are interested in joining the choir.<br />

<strong>Choir</strong> rehearsals are held at on a Friday evening at<br />

Hawkedon Primary School, RG6 3AP, during school<br />

term times from 7.30 – 10.00pm.<br />

In our history we can point to many achievements:<br />

winners of BBC’s national contest Let the Peoples Sing!,<br />

appearances at Sadler’s Wells, the Royal Albert Hall and<br />

many international venues.<br />

In recent years, we have sung in Germany, Austria,<br />

Holland and Ireland.<br />

Gwyn Arch MBE<br />

Our founder. Gwyn is a prolific<br />

arranger of music <strong>for</strong> male and mixed<br />

voices. He loves jazz and is himself<br />

no mean per<strong>for</strong>mer as a jazz pianist.<br />

Clive Waterman<br />

Deputy Musical Director and Accompanist<br />

As well as making his own talented<br />

contribution to our concerts and recording<br />

sessions, Clive currently leads Wokingham<br />

Borough Council’s Music <strong>for</strong> all project.<br />
