Description and Logistics
Time and Place
• Cooking may start whenever your team
would like. We recommend no earlier than 2
PM.
• Teams may cook using any of the floor
kitchens. They will not be allowed to cook in
their own rooms.
• The food MUST be completed by 7 PM. We
will have volunteers at each kitchen to
ensure compliance. We will then move help
the teams move food downstairs to the MP
room.
Team Composition
• This is not an SP- or a floor-associated
event.
• However, it is recommended that each team
include at least 1 SP resident.
• There is no real limit to team size; however,
we recommend around 5 people on a team.
• There should be a main contact who we can
reach by phone.
Food Logistics
• The appetizer and dessert must be vegetarian.
• The entrée will not be vegetarian.
• We are aiming for 8 teams, each receiving
$250.
• We are aiming for an audience of 150 to 200.
At least 100 small samples should be prepared
for all 3 courses, before 7 PM.
• We do have warmers in the MP kitchen.
Dates and Deadlines
• Facebook event will be created to
increase publicity.
• RSVP by Tuesday, November 16.
• Ingredients revealed on Wednesday,
November 17.
• Temporary menu by Friday, November
19.
Judging and Prizes
• The three top teams will split $150, $100, and
$50.
• We will have head judges (still to be
determined, 70%) and audience voting (30%).
• Each team will be judged on taste, creativity,
and presentation holistically. The appetizer
is worth 10, the entrée 15, and the dessert 5.
