Engraving, 470 x 390mm. 18½ x 15½". Horizontal and
vertical folds. Very scarce. £420
An illustration of the circular zodiac, a highly
significant record of Egyptian astronomical beliefs. It
was first discovered in Egypt by Napoleon, and bought
by Louis XVIII for 10,000 pounds 1814. This print is
accompanied by a detailed text recounting the history
of the artefact.

A gathering of fifty-two prominent musicians,
composers and conductors (including Verdi, Dvorak,
Rubinstein and Richter) conversing and playing music.
Around them are a further ten busts of famous
precursors such as Beethoven, Purcell, Mendelssohn
and Wagner. A key identifies each person.
