GUIDE TO SCHOLARSHIPS
FOR ENTRY IN 2013

Knox Grammar School offers an extensive range of scholarships with remission of tuition and boarding
fees ranging from 25% to 100%. The scholarships are for boys entering Year 5, Year 7 and Year 11. The
information below is a guide to the scholarships which may be available for entry in 2013.
• Open to students at Knox Grammar School and students attending other schools
• Scholarship Examinations will be held in March 2012. Applications two weeks prior to
examination.
• Application Fee to be advised
Applicants for ALL scholarships, including music and entry into the Knox da Vinci program, must sit
the Academic Scholarship Examination.
SENIOR SCHOOL

• Examination held at the Senior School Campus

The SM FitzSimons Awarded for academic attainment. 50% remission in fees for eight years
Open Scholarship from Years 5-12.
All-Rounder
Awarded for all-round ability in all areas of school life including academic,
sport, cultural and other activities. 50% remission of tuition fees from
Years 5-12.
Year 7 2013
Academic A range of scholarships for remission of tuition fees ranging from 50%
to 100% from Years 7-12. Bursaries based on financial need are also
considered.

PREPARATORY SCHOOL
• Applications open in December 2011
• Examination held at the Preparatory School
Campus
Awarded to outstanding players of orchestral instruments (strings, wind
and brass) and piano. Only percussionists experienced on tuned percussion
including drums will be considered. Bag pipes, synthesisers and rock guitar
are not eligible.
Awarded for all-round attainment in all areas of school life including
academic, sport, cultural and other activities. 50-100% remission of
tuition fees.
Awarded to boys who are sons of Knox Old Boys and who would not be able
to attend Knox Grammar School without financial support.
A range of scholarships for remission of tuition and boarding fees ranging
from 25% to 100% from Years 7-12. Bursaries based on financial need are
also considered.
