General Rules - Maumee Valley Pullers

General Rules
1. Unsportsmanlike conduit will not be permitted.
2. No racing/speeding allowed in the pit area.
3. Drivers must remain seated at all times.
4. Any object that may fall off any tractor during pulling will disqualify
that tractor for that pull.
5. Two attempts per class if tractor is stopped before 20 feet.
6. First puller of each class is the test puller and may be allowed to
drop to the 3 rd spot.
7. Long pants, shirt, and closed toe shoes must be worn at all times
while pulling.
8. Helmets are required for all drivers.
9. Weights may be moved but not added after weigh in is completed.
10. All tractors must have fenders.
11. All drivers under the age of 14 years old must be
accompanied by an adult during the event.
12. Tractors must be in neutral at the time of hook.
13. Wheelie bars/ skid plates are required
for all tractors. These must be able to
support the tractor’s weight.
14. All tractors must have a garden tractor appearance.
15. All stock tractors must have a 12” hitch height and open
tractors may have a 13” hitch height.
16. Track officials have the final say in a pull.
17. All pullers must sign waiver at registration . Pullers under 18
years must have permission from a parent or guardian.
18. Alcohol consumption not permitted during pulling.

19. No refunds for dropping a class after the class has started.
20. All tractors must have working breaks.
21. Foot throttles/Auto return to idle speed control for all
tractors- dead man throttle required for all tractors.
22. No duels or chains allowed.
23. At least one hand on steering wheel at all times during a pull.
24. Any rules violation will disqualify the tractor and puller until
issue is resolved and approved by track officials.
25. Bottom of skid plate/ wheelie bar must not be more that four
inches from the ground- plus/minus 1”.
26. Hitch point and wheelie bar can not be mounted on the same
bracket. They must be secured to the tractor by separate mounts.
27. Wheelie bars/ skid plates must not extend more than 10” from
the rear of the tires.
28. Weights on the rear of the tractor must not extend more that
10” from the rear of the tires.
29. All tractors must cross scales after the pull is complete. Any
tractor not making weight will be disqualified.
30. All tractors must not be more that 3 pounds over weight.
31. Weights may not extend more than 72” from the center of the
rear axle to the front of the weight bar.
32. If you need to or want to move up a class then the tractor
must follow the rules for that class. Be prepared.
33. Minimum 2 ½” opening for the hitch point.
