Member Survey Decutive Committee of Region 12 (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington) comissioned Hebert Research to conduct a survey of Region 12 REALTOR® members. Hebert Research interviewed 1,200 REALTORS® Association members in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. The questionnaire was prepared by Hebert Research and was reviewed mittee prior to the commencement of interviews. The Association provided Hebert Research with a membership list which was used to conduct telephone interviews with brokers and agents who were Association members of Region 12. Alaska also had the highest percentage (18%) of realtors earning over $150,000, followed by Oregon (12%) and Washington (11%). Idaho had the largest share of realtors (27%) in the lowest income bracket, making less than $25,000. Length of Career in Real Estate The overall responses were widely distributed More than 20% of respondents have worked in real estate for 3 or fewer years, while 35% had been in the industry slightly longer term, 4 to 10 years. About 22% have been working in real estate for over 20 years. Number of Property Listings in the Past Year Nearly half of the respondents had 10 or fewer properties listed in the past year. Only 22% had listed more than 25 properties. Responses were again quite widely distributed around a mean of 24 properties. The following are the results for Alaska compared dicated on the table on the bottom on this page. Number of Properties Closed in the Past Year Responses closely mirrored the previous question regarding properties listed. Over half had closed than 25. The mean was 20.9.
