Stand Up for Autism World Paddleboard Association Race 7:00am -

10th Anniversary Rims on the River Vintage Car and Hot Rod Show 

Friday May 15th - Sunday May 17th Wilmington, NC. Classic cars from across 

the nation will line the beautiful Cape Fear River for this 11th annual antique 

car show! The show features free live music as well as awesome vendors and 

incredible pre-1980 cars! This event has grown into a premier show, drawing 

a wide array of cars from the entire southeast region of the state, as well 

as a few neighboring states. As in previous years, there will be trophies for

Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival 

The first Asian Festival was 

at Marshall Park in uptown 

Charlotte. The purpose of 

the Festival is to unite all Asian 

communities in the Charlotte 

area to celebrate the Asian- 

Pacific Heritage Month of May. 

Attendance in Festival continued 

to grow in the ensuing years, 

drawn by the colorful and diverse 

cultural presentations, food and 

retail selections. After a few years 

at the Wachovia Atrium, the Asian 

Festival moved to its current 

location at Ramsey Creek Park, 

and, together with the Dragon 

Boat Festival Race, continues to 

grow as the Carolinas’ premier 

Asian cultural event. 

The Asian Festival is a familyfriendly 

festival that is designed 

to celebrate the traditions and 

unique Asian-Pacific cultures 

represented in the greater 

Charlotte region. The organizers 

hope that in addition to providing 

an opportunity for local Asians 

and Asian-Americans to celebrate 

their heritage that the festival will 

serve as a cultural bridge to the 

community at large.

The Charlotte Asian Festival and Charlotte Dragon 

Boat Festival Races are held at Ramsey Creek 

Park on Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC. The 

waterfront park covers 46 acres and features 

beaches, boat launching and docks, a new 

playground, picnic shelters, nature trails, and a 

fishing pier. The trails offer a great place to walk 

and admire nature at its finest.

The Festival With An Altitude!

highest Motoring Festival in 

the Eastern United States. June 

11-14th have been selected for the 8th 

Annual Highlands Motoring Festival. 

As in the past, Saturday, June 13th, is 

the featured classic car show, at the 

Highlands Recreation Park. The 2015 

Highlands Motoring Festival will

of the Mountains will provide a full

midway, and return to Highlands late 

afternoon. That evening is the special 

Welcome Party, Motoring to Motown,

Classic Car Show. Cars to view and
