“Win a Home and Land” Promotion Terms and Conditions
Conditions of Entry
Purchase any three (3) Participating Products in one transaction at participating Countdown
supermarkets, and swipe your Onecard to enter into the competition (“valid entry”). One entry
for every three (3) products purchased in one transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, 5
products purchased in one transaction gives one (1) entry, 6 products purchased in one
transaction gives two (2) entries. You may enter as many times as you wish during the
promotional period. The promotion commences at 12:01 am on 5 March 2012 and ends 11:59
pm on 1 April 2012
Entry is open to all residents of New Zealand aged over 18 years who are Onecard
cardholders who fulfil the eligibility and entry requirements. The directors, and management of
the Promoter, their related companies, agencies, suppliers and participating retailers are not
eligible to enter. Employees, and their immediate families, of the Promoter and their related
companies are not eligible to enter. Employees of the Promoter’s agencies, suppliers and
participating retailers who are involved in the operation of this Promotion, and their immediate
families, are not eligible to enter.
Entry into the prize draw is deemed to be acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and
Conditions of Entry.
Participating Products
The Participating Products are products sold under any of the following brands as advertised
on promotional materials:
Persil, Dove, Rexona, Continental, Flora, Streets, Tresemme, Sunsilk, Lux, Vaseline, Surf,
Comfort, Lipton, Choysa, Impulse, Lynx, Bertolli, Drive, Domestos, Jif, Andrew Collinge, VO5,
Keratinology (Sunsilk), Brylcreem, Chefade, Simple, Radox, St Ives, Raguletto, PG Tips
Excludes Continental Ham, Continental Chocolate, Bertolli Olive Oil, and Dove Chocolate.
Prize Draw
The prize draw will be conducted at Progressive Enterprises Limited 80 Favona Road,
Mangere 2024 Auckland New Zealand at 11am on 4 April 2012.
Prize
The first valid entry drawn in the Prize Draw will win a Landmark Homes “Cameo” home and
land package to be built at a location in ONE of the following districts:
• Rodney
• South Auckland
• Coromandel
• Wairarapa
• Tauranga
• Taupo
• Gisborne
• Hawkes Bay
• Canterbury
• Queenstown Lakes
The Promoter will determine, in its absolute discretion, the location of the land in the district
selected by the winner, and the specifications of the house to be built on the land. The
specifications of the house, including dimensions and layout, may be varied at the absolute
discretion of the Promoter depending on the district chosen and the land available in the
chosen district.

The Promoter will engage Landmark Homes NZ Limited and its Franchisee to build the home
on the land determined by the Promoter in the district chosen by the winner. Building will
commence following confirmation from the winner and title to the house will be transferred to
the winner upon completion.
Total prize value is NZ$500,000.00 inclusive of any GST payable.
Notification and Claim of Prize
The winner will be notified by mail as soon as possible after the prize draw. The Promoter
may choose to also notify the winner by any other means available. The winner must claim
the prize by following the instructions provided in the notification within 28 days from the date
on which the notification was sent by mail by the Promoter or its representative.
If the winner is under the age of 18, the prize may be awarded to the winner’s parent or
guardian.
Unclaimed Prizes
In the event that the prize is unclaimed in accordance with the terms, the Promoter may
conduct a redraw at Progressive Enterprises Limited 80 Favona Road, Mangere 2024
Auckland New Zealand at 11am on 7 May 2012. The winner of the redraw will be notified in
the same manner as above.
Publication of Winner
The winner’s name will be published on www.countdown.co.nz once the winner has claimed
their prize.
Participation Requirements
It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that:
1. All identification and contact details on record with Onecard are complete, correct and
up-to-date at the time of the draw.
2. The entrant is legally capable of owning real estate in New Zealand and that any
permits, authorities or licences (where required) are obtained.
Prize Conditions and Details
3. The winner must confirm within 7 days of notification, the district in which their house
is to be built. If the winner fails to confirm within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the
right to, at its absolute discretion, choose the district on behalf of the winner.
4. Construction of the home will commence shortly after the announcement of the
winner and the winner’s confirmation of location. Construction times may vary due to
factors beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter. Any representations of an
expected completion date are to be taken as a guide only and do not constitute a
binding deadline.
5. The winner will be required to sign a form to release the Promoter from, and
indemnify the Promoter against, any and all liability arising from the use of or
participation in any part of the prize.
6. The winner will cooperate with the Promoter to do all necessary or required to
complete the construction. The Promoter will not be responsible for any costs
incurred as a result of the winner’s failure to cooperate. In the event that costs are
incurred as a result of the winner’s failure to cooperate, the Promoter shall have the

ight to make alterations to the construction plan to reduce building costs accordingly,
which may reduce the value of the finished property.
7. Upon completion of house construction & subject to all council approvals being met
and obtained, the house will be handed over to the prize winner. From this date all
ongoing costs and insurances pertaining to the prize will become the responsibility of
the owner (the prize winner), including but not limited to, council rates, water rates,
electricity, house insurance. Any defects in the house will be covered by a Master
Builders’ Guarantee and the Promoter shall not have any responsibility to fix any such
defects.
General Rules
8. The Promoter will not be liable in any way if, for any reason outside the Promoter’s
reasonable control, any part of any prize becomes unavailable.
9. In the event that the prize, or any element of the prize, become unavailable for any
reason beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize, or
element of the prize, at its sole discretion.
10. The Promoter’s decision is final in all matters and no correspondence will be entered
into.
11. The winner may not vary the prize package. The prize is not transferable or
redeemable for cash.
12. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as
reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the
Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention
or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent
permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions
from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as
appropriate.
13. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who
the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and
Conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to
jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights
to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to request winner to provide proof of age, identity
and residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of
the Promoter.
15. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves
the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written
directions from a relevant Regulatory Authority.
16. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, the Promoter (including its
respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all
liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage
(including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential,
arising in any way including, but not limited to: (a) any technical difficulties or
equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft,
unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is
late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the
Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any
variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax
liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.

17. The Promoter and Progressive Enterprises Limited are not responsible for late or
misdirected entries and take no responsibility for any entries not correctly lodged
through the Onecard system.
The Promoter and Progressive Enterprises Limited and its related companies,
employees and agencies shall not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury
(including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person
arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with entering this promotion or
claiming/winning any prize, except as required by law.
The Promoter and Progressive Enterprises Limited are not responsible for the
transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, either
caused by user error or any equipment or programming malfunction associated with
the promotion.
18. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s
details for promotional and media purposes, including, but not limited to, photographs
and interviews, without compensation and copyright will be vested in the Promoter.
The winner acknowledges that their personal details may be televised on national
television and be published in newspapers, magazines, on the Internet and any other
media channel used for PR purposes.
19. The Promoter will not collect or hold personal information provided as part of the
Promotion. Personal information stored by Onecard will continue to be held by
Onecard. Entrants may access and request correction of their personal information at
any time by contacting Onecard.
20. All entries remain the property of Onecard and Progressive Enterprises Limited. All
personal information will be collected and stored by Onecard (Progressive
Enterprises Limited) in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to
access your personal information and request correction of any errors in it pursuant to
the Privacy Act 1993. Progressive Enterprises Limited may use entrants' personal
information from entries to conduct the promotion and for its own future promotional
and publicity purposes in accordance with standard Onecard terms and conditions.
By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as
described above.
