Revenue Management Solution<br />

With its 230 rooms, and situ<strong>at</strong>ed on the green belt of<br />

Johannesburg, just a few m<strong>in</strong>utes away from the major<br />

<strong>at</strong>tractions of the city, the four star <strong>Protea</strong> Hotel Wanderers is<br />

one of the <strong>to</strong>p perform<strong>in</strong>g properties of the Group.<br />

The Challenge<br />

<strong>Protea</strong> <strong>Hotels</strong> utilized revenue management for about<br />

three years. However, because of the current uncerta<strong>in</strong>ty<br />

of the market, the Group felt th<strong>at</strong> restructur<strong>in</strong>g the revenue<br />

management department with a new, technology-based<br />

solution, would help them make a positive turn.<br />

“We needed a solution able <strong>to</strong> provide str<strong>at</strong>egic forecast<strong>in</strong>g and<br />

r<strong>at</strong>e quot<strong>at</strong>ion, <strong>to</strong> help us focus on a more tactical management<br />
