of 0.8m 2 K/W, per 4mm thickness
or equivalent.

Your wood heater MUST be installed by a qualified person whose work conforms with local
council regulations, Australian standards and manufacturers recommendations. Failure to do so
is extremely dangerous and will void your warranty and could possibly void any home insurance.
Our Commitment to the Environment
Our belief is to help the environment by
using renewable energy. We support good
forestry practices and ongoing improvements
in wood burning stoves and heaters that use
firewood. Firewood serves an important role
in Australia’s domestic heating sector and is a
cheap heating option for many families.
As a renewable fuel source (provided firewood
supplies are properly managed) it does not add to a
net greenhouse gas release. International pressures
to reduce greenhouse gas emissions suggest that
firewood may have a much brighter future.
When sustainably managed, firewood recycles carbon from
the atmosphere. Firewood plantations can also serve other
ecologically desirable functions including wastewater
treatment, salination reduction, erosion control, wildlife
habitat and aesthetics.
It is more energy efficient
to use the firewood
in the home than fuel an
electric power station
with biomass and then
use the electricity to
heat the home.
