General Information<br />
Dimensions & Weight<br />
• Dimensions are stated in millimetres (width x depth x height)<br />

Castors<br />
• All castors are fitted with non-marking tyres (with the exception of some antistatic<br />
versions)<br />
• Anti-static castors can be identified by a yellow thread guard or a yellow mark<br />
on the edge of the tyre<br />
• Castors are selected to suit the anticipated use of the trolley/piece of<br />
equipment<br />
• Castors and wheel bearings do not require specific maintenance other than<br />
regular cleaning. The use of oil will breakdown the grease applied to the<br />
bearings, reducing the life of the castor. We recommend that fittings are checked<br />
regularly and re-tightened as required<br />
• Where anti-static castors are fitted, we recommend that the tyre is periodically<br />
cleaned to remove any dirt to ensure a good contact between the tyre and the<br />
floor<br />
Locks & Keys<br />
• Locks should operate smoothly. If they do not, please arrange urgent attention<br />
and where necessary obtain a replacement<br />
• Locks require only minimal maintenance and should only be lubricated using a dry<br />
lubricant such as graphite which can be purchased from most locksmiths (NEVER<br />
USE OIL)<br />
• When ordering replacement locks or keys, please ensure that the product code,<br />
and any letters/numbers from the key and lock are available<br />
Paint<br />
Stainless Steel<br />
• We use 304 and 430 grade stainless steel<br />
• Grade 304 is non-magnetic and used on products which are not painted<br />
• Grade 430 is magnetic and used on painted products<br />
• Other grades are available on request, i.e. 316<br />
• Please note that the term ‘stainless’ is not entirely accurate, as certain chemicals<br />
can ‘eat’ into the surface. In particular ‘iodine’ which can badly corrode/stain and<br />
as a result should not be used as a cleaning agent<br />
Laminate & Wood Products<br />
• Wood products are manufactured from FSC accredited materials<br />
• High pressure laminate bonded to MDF<br />
• Melamine faced MDF<br />
• Edges are protected with 2mm ABS/T-Barb edging or sealed with varnish<br />
• Both laminate and melamine panels offer some resistance to water penetration<br />
under normal usage<br />
• We only use water based adhesives and varnishes<br />

• Upholstered panels are manufactured from ‘Flame Retardant’ materials,<br />
independently tested to ‘BS5852 Ignition Source 5’ (BS7176 Medium Hazard)<br />
