About Me
I’m a third year Industrial & Interaction Design student at Syracuse University
I’m passionate about user experience, designing beautiful functional products,
and great food. I’m currently finishing my third year as an Industrial & interaction
Design student at Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Preforming Arts.
When I’m not in the studio I love to go hiking, drink coffee and watch old science
fiction movies in my native land of Portland, Oregon.
Process
Quick sketches and form generation are the primary tools I use when approaching any problem
This project started with LCD icon analysis, moving into an interactive object utilizing an LCD display
Analyzing vending machines I crafted a set of icons to guide a user through the experience.
The result is a tea mixing/vending machine kiosk that crafts a custom
tea for every customer as they select every aspect of the experience.
Board Game
The focus of this project was designing a complex board game
integrating hand-made cards and custom game pieces.
Dhaemn Chair
A piece of flat-pack furniture I designed and rendered in SolidWorks,
this chair was inspired by abstract geometric forms. The chair is designed
of injection molded plastic assembled with pegs. The complete
design comes with flat-pack instructions, renders of the chair in context,
and flat packaging orientation.
Bird Feeder
Research
Context
Ideation
This ongoing project
is a combination of wine
culture, functional bird
feeder and visually pleasing
object. In research I explored
bird feeders on the market currently,
the glass wine bottle itself
is the dispenser for the thistle
feeder. Hanging and functionality are
the unique aspects of this project, as
well keeping with the pleasing aesthetic
of sophisticated wine culture.
