♦ returing as CREATIVE ARTS
SUPERVISOR (too many years to
count). Sarah is very eager to hold
creative arts staff meetings so she
can plan great projects, themes and,
of course, the “Pine Street Gallery.”

♦ back after a year’s absence, Jen-O
returns as BUSINESS MANAGER for
year #16. She organizes trips out of
camp, the office, and other details
that help camp run smoothly.

KIWI SECTION HEAD. Dana is very

C.W.P. and has a great summer

TRAINING VILLAGE SECTION
HEAD. Anthony is organizing a great
training program for all T.V.
campers, and he will also be busy
around camp as a Staff Supervisor.

excited about being C.I.T. CO-
ORDINATOR. It will be a busy, active
summer for the large C.I.T. group.

♦ Back for year #13. In addition to
being a Pre-CIT counsellor, she will
be Assistant C.I.T. Co-Ordinator.

Wood and as a Staff Supervisor,

new dog “Nike” (who is Hudson’s
sister) by his side. In addition to
teaching tennis, “Kal” will be a Staff
Supervisor.

to driving the Ski boat and being a
“lunch mommy”, Abbie will also

WHAT’S NEW IN 2006
GNU CABINS – We have replaced the old ones with
beautiful new cedar cabins. They are identical to the
camper cabins in lower camp, and are graffiti-free
with graffiti plaques in them. GNU and TV BATHROOMS - The
new main camp washhouses last year were so
successful that we have redone the Gnu and TV
bathrooms; they are similar to the main camp
washhouses. ROPES – Our new “Dual Zip-line”
features two side-by-side, 50 ft. high zip lines that
go 260 feet down the hillside at Ropes. Campers can
race on these ultra-fast lines. BLOB – The “Blob” has
hit CWP. Our new inflated launch pad attaches to
our water trampoline, adding to the fun at our swim
program. SAIL – Our new Hunter JY 15 sailboat will
be the fastest boat in our fleet, and is ideal for sail
trips.

OUR NEW WEBSITE - The brand new website is up and
running. It was designed by Brendan “Head of
Ropes” Turner and Scott Wiseman. It shows a bit
of our history (51 years) and a lot of present day C.

CABIN SWITCHING
Contrary to our write-up in the winter issue of the
“Whisperer”, the boys and girls are NOT going to
switch sides this coming summer. We have worked
everything out so all Koalas, Blues and Reds can
stay in the usual cabin locations.

Alexandra is a former camper and her father, Ari, also went to CWP
(in Adam’s cabin) for many, many years.

CWP -- ALUMNI NEWS
Michael Bregman (camper, head ski, and camper parent) is an
avid triathlete. In 2004 he ran in the Niagara Triathlon and the
Ontario Honda Dealers Triathalon. Jesse Bleeman (recent
counsellor) has introduced freeboarding to Canada. A freeboard
looks like a skateboard but has two additional wheels that
reproduce snowboarding motions on concrete.Contact him at

(staff 60’s) on opening his new gallery in Toronto with the launch of
his show “Impressions of India”. 400 guests attended the opening
party including CWP’er Margaret Atwood. Congratulations to
Enrique “Kiki” Norton (head of tennis in 70’s) who won an
architectural competition and was awarded the opportunity to
design the new “Guggenheim” museum in Guadalajara.
Congratulations to Miriam Bloomenfeld (camper & staff 70’s, and
Frances’s daughter) who was recently appointed as a Provincial
Court Judge. Roland Paris (head tripping 80’s) is living in Ottawa
and is director of research at the Conference Board of Canada. He
is also the author of “At War’s End: Building Peace After Civil
Conflict”. Congratulations to Deena Baltman (former staff) on
being appointed as a Superior Court Judge. Regards to all from
Robb Westerkamp (creative arts staff 70’s). He teaches design at
California State U., Long Beach. Congratulations to David Shore

(camper & staff, 70’s & 80’s) on winning an EMMY
award for his writing on his TV show “House”. He
