<strong>of</strong> its work, the <strong>Idaho</strong> Forestry School has drvclopcd Lo a<br />

position where today it is considered one <strong>of</strong> the best in the<br />

United Stales. Within close proximity to the <strong>University</strong> are<br />

all <strong>of</strong> the phases <strong>of</strong> the lumber industry, and these, with the<br />

Univcr ity's own laboratories, arboretum, and experimental<br />

tracts, are utilized in presenting an invaluable and practical<br />

course in forestry. The school is doing much to produce men<br />

who will be able to cope with the problems <strong>of</strong> conser vation<br />

and reforestation-vital que Lion <strong>of</strong> the da). The<br />

cour. r is divided into three four-year curricula, and many<br />

graduate subjects are taught to students from almost every section <strong>of</strong> America.<br />

The dean <strong>of</strong> the school, Francis Garner Miller, M. F., is in a large part responsible<br />

for the high standing which the school enjoys. <strong>Idaho</strong> can well afford to honor him.<br />
