QUIP Specialized Job Search Support
In addition to regular services from Queen’s Career Services (QCS) including
workshops, drop-in advising, resume checks, and career counselling, the following
services are being offered this year exclusively for students registered with QUIP:
1. QUIP JOB SEARCH WORKSHOPS
QUIP - Resumes & Cover Letters Workshop
This 50-minute session will help you use key strategies in your resume and cover letter
for highlighting your unique skills, knowledge and experience.

QUIP – Interview Workshop
Wondering how to make the most of an upcoming interview? In this 50-minute session,
you’ll learn and practice strategies for highlighting your unique strengths relevant to a
specific opportunity in response to common questions. Learn what questions to ask
(and research to do) to be able to make decisions.

2. QUIP DROP-IN ADVISING OFFICE HOURS
Dates:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-10 am
From September 25 th to November 29 th
Locations:
Sept. 25, Oct. 2 – Room 311, Beamish-Munro Hall
All other dates – Information Area, Career Services, 3 rd Floor, Gordon Hall
Meet with the QUIP Career Counsellor for quick help with your job search questions and
last-minute assistance. Ask questions like:
� Can I get quick feedback on some changes to my resume or cover letter?
� I’ve got an interview tomorrow! What can I do to prepare?
� How can I find organizations related to my interest?
3. QUIP JOB SEARCH CONSULTATIONS
After attending the Resume & Cover Letter and Interview workshops you can follow up
to get more personalized assistance. Make an appointment with the QUIP Career
Counsellor to work with you 1 on 1 in 30 minute appointments to tackle all kinds of job
search questions. These appointments will be available starting the week of Oct.1.
You might have questions like:
� Can I get some feedback on my resume or cover letter?
� Can I do a practice interview?
� How can best prepare for company info sessions or career fairs?
� How do I start networking and find “hidden jobs”?
In addition to QUIP Job Search Consultations, you can also book appointments with
for a QUIP Resume Check for 1 on 1 help with your resume.
