Allied Health Workforce Planning –
Quantifying Issues and Developing
Solutions.
The aim of the workshop is to provide
participants with:
An overview of workforce planning
principles and processes,
Knowledge and skills in using data
to quantify workforce shortages /
needs (this will include inputting
local data into a gap analysis tool to
generate predictions of future
workforce shortages / needs in
participants own teams / facilities),
An understanding of workforce
strategies to address identified
issues,
An understanding of workforce
redesign and how this can be
applied to the Allied Health
workforce, with a focus on the
potential for Allied Health
Assistants to address identified
needs.
A draft workshop outline is attached for your
information.
Target participants for this workshop are Allied
Health Professional staff, and (but not limited
to) who manage teams / units.
