8 DRAWING OF LOTS<br />

This will be done immediately after the Registration Date.<br />

9. CONTEST<br />

At least three (3) contestants for every category and division.<br />

(Poomsae, Freestyel Destruction & Free Sparring)<br />

10. METHOD OF COMPETITION<br />

Single elimination system.<br />

11. RULES & REGULATIONS<br />

11.1 WTF & STF Rules<br />

11.2 Free Sparring for Senior 1 (Brown Belt & Above) will be conducted foe three (3) rounds of three (3)<br />

minutes each with one (1) minute rest between rounds.<br />

11.3 Free Sparring for other categories will be conducted for three (3) rounds of two (2) minutes each with<br />

thirty (30) seconds rest between rounds.<br />

11.4 Kicking to the head are strictly prohibited for competitions in the Youth and Junior Categories. The<br />

competitor who executes a kick to the head will be given a one point (Gam-Jeom) deduction if there<br />

is no injury at all or an immediate disqualification if it result in ay injury.<br />

12. INDIVIDUAL POOMSAE<br />

12.1 Maximum time given is 1 (ONE) minute to display the Poomsae.<br />

12.2 Participants will be judged on knowlegde of Poomsae, Sharpness/Power, Rhythm, Balance and<br />

Stances.<br />

13. FREESTYLE DESTRUCTION<br />

13.1 Maximum time given is 2 (TWO) minutes (Inclusive of Set-up), after which, point will be deducted.<br />

13.2 Participants can choose to use Hand Technique, Leg Technique or Both Combine Technique.<br />

13.3 Participants are to provide their own holder during the event. Nooden planks will be supplied by the<br />

Organising Committee.<br />

13.4 Participants will be judged on Creativity, Degree of Difficulty, Balance/Landing, Style of Execution an<br />

Percentage of Breakage.<br />

14. REGISTRATION<br />

12.1 Registration for the Championships will be opened on Saturday, 2 May 2009 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm<br />

at the SSC Fitness Studio.<br />

12.2 Registration Fee will be S$12.00 (+GST) per participation per event.<br />

12.3 Grading Cards or Certificates are required for verification during Registration.<br />

15 EQUIPMENT<br />

Participants are allowed to put on their own protective padding (STF approved) during the Championships. In<br />

addition, head gear, mouth piece, glove, groin guard, forearm and shin guard should be worn by participants<br />

when entering the contest area.<br />

16 PROTEST<br />

There will be NO protest allowed. The judge’s decision will be final.<br />

17 AWARDS<br />

The following prizes will be presented to: -<br />

1 st Place : One Gold Medal<br />

2 nd Place : One Silver Medal<br />

Joint 3 rd Place : One Bronze Medal each<br />
