<strong>JOB</strong> <strong>DESCRIPTION</strong><br />

Qualifications<br />

a) Completion of diploma/certificate in secretarial or administrative support, or equivalent<br />

obtained through relevant job experience;<br />

b) Minimum five (5) years of experience providing administrative support at a senior level.<br />

Specific Job Components<br />

<strong>Administrative</strong> <strong>Assistant</strong> <strong>to</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r, School Administration shall perform those tasks assigned by the<br />

Direc<strong>to</strong>r of School Administration. These tasks may vary from time <strong>to</strong> time with the evolution of the<br />

organiza<strong>to</strong>n and may include, but not be limited <strong>to</strong> the following:<br />

(a) Provide administrative and secretarial support <strong>to</strong> the Direc<strong>to</strong>r of School<br />

Administration and other management staff as required;<br />

(b) Provide support for arranging and scheduling meetings, booking space, preparing<br />

agendas and meeting notifications;<br />

(c) Provide secretarial and recording services for staff committee meetings as required;<br />

(d) Maintain regular time and attendance records for School Administration Department;<br />

(e) Oversee departmental office supplies and maintain as required;<br />

(f) Maintain records of department accounts;<br />

(g) Maintain an effective filing and retrieval system for department files and records;<br />

(h) Respond <strong>to</strong> departmental inquiries;<br />

(i) Liaise with school personnel with respect <strong>to</strong> the retrieval of archival community<br />

school records;<br />

(j) Maintain and update web information pertinent <strong>to</strong> the School Administration<br />

Department;<br />

(k) Other duties as required.<br />
