managers of more than 100 open rail-trails in the northeast region of the Massachusetts 3<br />
United States were surveyed on a wide variety of trail maintenance <strong>and</strong><br />
operations issues. See Table 2. (Some trail managers manage multiple<br />
trails. In some cases, they completed a survey for each trail, <strong>and</strong> in some<br />
cases they provided a single response representing more than one trail.<br />

are the results of this survey with examples, tips, techniques <strong>and</strong> other<br />
appropriate analysis <strong>and</strong> embellishments. Please use this information in<br />
