Kristen Minton
Treasurer Elect
Kristen is married to Randy Minton
and has a daughter, Addy Minton,
age 2 and another little girl on the
way named Ella Kate. She is the
Associate General Counsel at Regions
Insurance, Inc. She also teaches
as an adjunct professor at William H. Bowen School of Law.
Kristen joined the League to meet people and to get involved in
community service. She has learned how to take a project from
start to finish involving many moving parts and many different
personalities. She has watched women deal effectively with
each other to solve a problem and communicate to get a project
accomplished. It has been very valuable to learn how to handle a
difficult situation. The most rewarding experience that she’s had
has been associated with the GROW project by watching some
very quiet girls develop the confidence to be themselves and
come out of their shells.
Becka Webb
Treasurer
Becka is married to Brian Webb,
and they have a son, Guy Franklin
and a dog named Lily. She is the
Treasury Supervisor at Verizon
Wireless. Becka joined the League
to give back to her community and to
make new friends. The most valuable
thing she has learned was best summarized by something that I
heard Ellen Hill say, “There is a reason why you have two ears
and one mouth, so that you can listen more than you talk,” which
is something she strives to do everyday. The most rewarding
experience she’s had has been working with the GROW Girls
and watching them experience and learn new things. Seeing their
smiling faces when they accomplish something they’ve never
done before was priceless.
April Robinson
Nominating Chair
April is married to Chase Robinson.
She has a daughter Chloe’ Robinson,
age 13, and a cat named Patch. She
is employed at Baptist Health as a
Human Resources Generalist. Her
friend, sustainer Kelly Ross, really
enjoyed being in the League and encouraged her to join. April
was interested in the League because of her desire to meet new
people and serve in the community. She has learned so much in
every placement, but the most valuable things she has developed
are organizational and leadership skills. She has enjoyed all of
her placements - Cookbook, Holiday House, APT, R & D, and
Nominating. Her most rewarding experience is working with
other League volunteers to reach a common goal, knowing that it
will impact the community!
Cathy H. Mayton
Sustainer Advisor
Cathy is married to Mike Mayton.
They have a cat named Sweetie Peetie.
She works with 603 students and over
100 faculty and administration at
Episcopal Collegiate School. She
originally joined the League so she
could make a difference in our community. Cathy has learned
that anything is possible while working together with friends.
The most rewarding experience she’s had in the League involves
the after school project at Cornerstone-tutoring where they had
the opportunity to mentor young people.
