Dear Sir,
It gives us immense pleasure in announcing the Tenth Edition of PYC-ATC Snooker
Challenge, an open team event which will be hosted by PYC Hindu Gymkhana.
We are sending herewith the entry forms and the rules of the tournament.
We request you to send the team entries from your institution.
As you are aware, the tournament has the recognition and is under the aegis of BSAM the
apex body of Maharashtra for Billiards and Snooker. The tournament has been very well
received in the last nine years and has become a reputed one and unique in its kind.
Entries from all over India are invited to enrich the standard of the tournament. The entry fee
per team is Rs.3,500/-

TOURNMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The tournament will commence on 27 September 2013 and will be conducted in the BILIARDS
ROOM of PYC Hindu Gymkhanna, 766 Shivajinagar, Bhandarkar Road, Pune 411004. However in
order to complete the tournament in schedule time, some of the league matches will be
conducted at other venues also, which will be duely notified.
2. Prize Money :
Winner team : Rs. 50,000/-
Runner team : Rs. 30,000/-
S. finalist each team : Rs. 20,000/-
Q. finalist each team : Rs. 10,000/-
Pre Q. finalist each team : Rs. 6,000/-

Highest break : Rs. 5,000/- and 2 Hight break Rs. 3,000/-
3. Entries must be accompanied by the Entry Fee. Entry fee per team is Rs.3,500/-Last date for

acceptance of entry is 15 September2013.
4. The tournament committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without assigning any reasons
whatsoever.
5. Any number of teams can be entered by any club. The total restriction on participation is 64
teams for the tournament. Hence acceptance of teams will be decided by organizing committee.
Each team will consist of minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 players.
6. Programme of matches shall be strictly adhered to. Matches once arranged shall not be advanced or
postponed without the consent of the Tournament Committee.
7. In the event of participant failing to turn up on the scheduled start time but within 15
minutes will have to concede one frame to the opponent and failing to report within 15
minutes of the scheduled start time of the match he/she shall be deemed to have given a
walkover to opponent. In the event of both participants failing to turn up for their match, the match
will be considered abandoned and cancelled without further rescheduling.
8. Matches played during league basis will be best of 3 frames and those in Pre- Pre- quarter, Prequarter
Quarter Finals and Semi Finals will be best of 5 frames, Final will be played over best of 7
frames.
9. Matches will be scheduled from 10.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs.
10. The decision of the referee or in his absence by the marker will be final and binding on all teams.
11. Smoking, consumption of alcohol and bringing of eatables will not be permitted inside the Snooker
Room. Mobile phones should be switched off before entering the billiard hall.
12. Dress Code: Formals Trousers , Shirts, Collar T-Shirts will be allowed. Participants wearing
any kind of jeans, round neck
T-shirts, Sports shoes, Chappals, floaters, will not be
allowed to play their match.
13. The tournament committee reserves the right to change or modifiy any of the rules
during the course of the tournament.
