2906AB. Awards the contract for Restroom Renovations at Seth Boyden and Maplewood Middle School to CM General Contractor of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, for the lowest responsible bid of $249,500.00. 2906AD. Approves the contracts for the Assistant Superintendent for Administration, the Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for the 2012-2013 school year. 2906AE. Approves an application to TD Bank Charitable Foundation for a grant of up to $50,000 to be used for installation of various outdoor projects at Seth Boyden School. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board President, Superintendent and Board Secretary are authorized to execute and deliver any necessary contracts and reports on behalf of the board. 2906AF. Approves an application to The Hyde and Watson Foundation for a grant of $30,000 to be used for various outdoor projects at Seth Boyden School. 32
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board President, Superintendent and Board Secretary are authorized to execute and deliver any necessary contracts and reports on behalf of the board. 2906AG. Approves an application to The Legos Children’s Fund for a grant of $5,000 to be used to incorporate outdoor learning into classroom teaching at Seth Boyden School. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board President, Superintendent and Board Secretary are authorized to execute and deliver any necessary contracts and reports on behalf of the board. 2906AH. Awards the bid for Special Education Consulting Services to The District Management Council of Boston, Massachusetts, for the lowest responsible bid of $450,000 for services during the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 school years. 2906AI. Approve the transfer of current year surplus to capital reserve. WHEREAS, NJSA 18A:21-2, NJSA 18A7G-31, and NJSA:7F-41 permit a Board of Education to establish and/or deposit into certain reserve accounts at year end, and WHEREAS, the aforementioned statutes authorize procedures, under the authority of the Commissioner of Education, which permit the Board of Education to transfer unanticipated excess current revenue or unexpended appropriations into reserve accounts during the month of June by board resolution, and WHEREAS, the South Orange Maplewood Board of Education wishes to transfer unanticipated excess current year revenue or unexpended appropriations from the general fund into a Capital Reserve Account at year end, and WHEREAS, the South Orange Maplewood Board of Education has determined that a maximum amount of) $1,000,000. is available for such purpose to transfer; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the South Orange Maplewood Board of Education hereby authorizes the district’s School Business Administrator to make this transfer consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. 2906AJ. Approves a contract with Anthony P. Sciarrillo of the firm of Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, PC in Westfield, New Jersey to provide labor relation and negotiation services at a rate of $160.00 per hour. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board President, Superintendent and Board Secretary are authorized to execute and deliver any necessary contracts and reports on behalf of the Board. 2906AK.
