About the Campus: 

We are happy to inform that we are going for renewal of NBA for 

four branches of B.Tech viz CSE, ECE, EEE & EIE during 2011- 

2012 and for the Autonomous Status. We are happy to say that we got 

two more new branches Mechanical and Civil and the intake capacity 

of ECE is increased from 120 to 180. The Civil and Mechanical Block 

is under construction and in the Academic Block, the fourth floor is 

constructed and the Staff Quarters is in use.

Our Institution has registered in 

2005-06 for Campus Placement Mission 

(CPM) and Jawahar Knowledge Centre 

(JKC)which are jointly launched by JNTU 

and IEG (Institute for Electronic 

Governance) to provide placements for 

students. 

Placement Training Programme: 

To get through the interviews, we impart 

the following training to the students 

English Language and Communication 

Skills: 

Students acquire the basic skills of 

English along with communication skills 

such as Facing Interviews, Presentation 

Skills, Group Discussion, Resume 

Preparation etc. Further, almost all the 

Modern English Language Books are 

supplied with CDs to enhance the 

language competency of the students in 

English. English Communication Skills 

classes are being conducted regularly in 

the institution for II, III & IV B.Tech and 

MBA and MCA students apart from their 

regular curriculum. 

Personality Development Programme: 

Personality Development classes 

are being conducted regularly in the 

institution for II, III & IV B.Tech. 

Students with two periods a week. Under 

this program, the concepts like Tips for 

Interviews, Group Discussion Skills, Study 

and time Management, Memory skills,

Brain Storming and Creativity etc are 

imparted to the students. 

Aptitude and Reasoning classes: 

In order to improve the placement 

activities, a special and intensive training 

has been given to the students in 

quantitative aptitude and reasoning for 

II,,III and IV B.Tech students with two 

periods a week, in that one period is 

allotted to write online exam regarding the 

topic discussed in the previous class . The 

students are provided with special training 

based on the requirement of company.

Digital Library: 

In addition to the central library, 

the college has a well-established digital 

library facility with 20 computers, printer, 

scanner and CD writer. The digital library 

is equipped with 186 journals of various 

IEEE societies, ACM , IET and J gate.

etc.,for the total cost of Rs. 1,90,000. 

ii) For the Power Converters Lab ,

control using PM DC motor,

the total cost of Rs. 2,43,507/- 

iii) For the Electrical Machines and

ISTE Membership: 

The ISTE faculty and student 

chapters were established in our institution 

on 28 th December, 2007 and all the faculty 

members and interested students joined in 

the said society. 

Under ISTE students’ chapter, the 

events like Essay Writing, Elocution, 

Extempore, etc are conducted and prizes 

are distributed to the students. The IETE- 

New Delhi, students’ chapter was 

inaugurated in the institution for ECE 

students. Short term training programmes 

are being taken up to conduct during 

winter and summer seasons. 

In addition to ISTE, the faculty 

members have joined in various 

professional societies such as CSI, IETE 

and IE.

2. A National Level technical symposium 

on “Recent Trends in 

Instrumentation” was organized by 

EIE Department on 10 th September 

2011 in college premises.

1. The MCA Department has organized 

one day National Level Technical 

Symposium “SACICONS TECHNO 

FEST-2k12” on 09/08/12. The chief 

guest of the fest is

3. A two day Workshop on “Ethical

1. A free Eye Screening Camp was 

conducted in our campus for the 

students and staff by Sree Latha 

Modern Eye Hospital, Chittoor from 

26-07-2011 to 28-07-2011 and on 28- 

12-2011 at Murukambattu Village, 

Chittoor in co-ordination with 

Agarwal Eye Hospital, Chennai. 

2. An Awareness programme on “Road 

Safety” was conducted in our campus 

on 10-08-2011 for II & III Year 

Students and on 13-12-2011 for I 

Year Students by Sri.Balaji TVS 

Motors and Shri.Amarnath Fedric , C.I 

of Chittoor delivered the lecture .

3. A Special camp was organized from 

20-02-2012 to 26-02-2012 at ZP High 

School, 75, Doddipalli and conducted 

various activities such as 

• cleaning the school road and 

playground 

• An Awareness Programme on 

Maintenance, cleanliness of the 

surrounding places and precautions 

to be taken for the health and 

hygiene, free eye checkup, in coordination 

with Agarwal Eye 

Hospital, Chennai. 

Chittoor on 24-09-2011, nearly 120 

students donated their blood. 

6. The National Voters Day Awareness 

Programme was conducted by the 

NSS Team at Agraharam Village , 

Chittoor on 25-01-2012. 

4. During the Campus Cleaning 

Programme, SITAMS college play 

grounds were cleaned by moving 

shrubs, thorns, glass pieces etc on 

21-09-2011. 

5. Blood Donation Camp was conducted 

in our campus in co-ordination with 

Government Hospital Blood Bank, 

Sports Activities:

SITAMS FEST 2012 was 

conducted on 03-03-2012. In connection 

with this the competitions were conducted 

on various technical and non-technical 

events such as Elocution, Debate, JAM, 

Short Video Display on Social Service 

activities, Short Movie Display, Paper 

Presentation, Quiz Programme, Poster 

Presentation, Add Design, and cultural 

events such as Classical Dance, Solo 

Dance, Skit, Group Dance, Instrumental

Tool Different etc., and the prizes were 

distributed to the students.
